ScreenRant has received exclusive photos and a video from Transformers 3 production in Chicago. Check out some info in filming in Chicago below.

All of the filming took place in Chicago’s financial district on LaSalle St. The same location as The Dark Knight’s famous Joker/Batman showdown (the scene where the truck flips). Any flags, or other exterior decorations, on the buildings were replaced with torn and scorched ones. Cars and taxi cabs were shoved up onto curbs and were also damaged and on fire. The previously reported craters were placed in the road.

Check out some pictures from the Chicago set below.

Interesting. Very interesting. Now, check out this video from the Chicago set featuring NASCAR Transformers, the helicopter rig, as well as the base jumpers.

The movie is looking good so far. I'm hoping they bring back Soundwave.

Transformers 3 comes to theaters July 1, 2011.

@Jayoh@ it's from the secret ending to Kingdom Hearts 1,

I think this film will be a lot better then the second one since the writers strike really hurt that movie, the plot was good it was just the dialog and the jokes that sucked.

OK, if you look frame by frame (and yes this is going to sound stupid),but, the first car has a target logo and the number 42 on it, the second car is decked out in green with an 88 on it, and the third looks to be a 48 but, I'm not sure.
My theory being a NASCAR fan and knowing this to be true the number 42 is sponsored by Target and dose look similar to that, the 88 is sponsored by the National Guard, and the 48 by Lowe's. Look at these links and you tell me.?

The 42 http://store.nascar.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3796566

the 88 http://store.nascar.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4070030

and the 48 http://store.nascar.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4070033

Just my thoughts I could be wrong though.

Wolverine1974 @ - NASCAR did advertise for TF2-ROTF. So there is already a relationship between the movie franchise and the sport. It could be possible that Juan Pablo, Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson could be driving transformers. That would be cool. Now maybe that E-Jr. is driving a Transformer he can take a checkered flag on weekend soon.

I doubt the Nascars are Autobots. They look too evil and I think they are representative of the Stunticons that form Menasor. While not the traditional Stunticons, they have the makings to be bad ass.

The reason the first movie was good is because Bay got lucky. The second movie Bay is given free reign and a huge budget and he ![frick]S!! IT UP!!! Royally. This third movie looks like it will end up pretty much like the second one.

In Pic #8 where you see Iron hides Ass. There you can see Michael Bay's Transformer Abominations Mudflap and Skids. Which means to me hes going to do all in his power to make this movie as childish and immature as possible so he make the most money out of it.
I give the man credit for sticking to his guns and his ideas but I loathe him for being a sellout with a franchise that would still make a ton of money if he would only give it the creative respect that it deserves and would make the hardcore fans happy.

I'm amazed no one has suggested it but I bet the Nascar vehicles are Wreck-gar and the Junkions. First, Nascar is known for their crashes, which makes perfect sense why they'd take this form (instead of motorcycles). Second, it would further tie in with Unicron.

INFO FROM USA TODAY..

By Anthony Breznican, USA TODAY
LOS ANGELES — The Transformers promise they can change, baby.
With shooting underway on a third movie and plans to debut next summer, Michael Bay and Co. acknowledge missteps with the last one and aim to upgrade the shape-shifting robot franchise with a more coherent story, less goofball humor and a pledge that characters who die will stay dead. It will also be in 3-D.

Revenge of the Fallen was the No. 2 movie of 2009 (behind only Avatar), earning $836 million worldwide — clearly very popular, though complaints from some moviegoers and a negative fusillade from critics made the filmmakers take notice.

"I'll take some of the criticism," says Bay, standing at a set built to resemble a dilapidated nuclear reactor. "It was very hard to put (the sequel) together that quickly after the writers' strike (of 2007-08)."

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says the rush strained the plot: "We tried to do too many things in the second movie, which didn't give enough time in any one of them. We were constantly jumping to the next piece of information, the next place."

Bay is not one for mea culpas, but he says he can do better. "This one really builds to a final crescendo. It's not three multiple endings," the director says.

Bay calls the second film's villain, The Fallen, "kind of a (expletive) character." The new movie's foe is certain to make fans of the original '80s incarnation smile: Shockwave, the robot cyclops-turned-laser-cannon, who became dictator of their home world of Cybertron after the other Autobots and Decepticons journeyed to Earth.

"One thing we're getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy," Bay adds. So the twins, the two bumbling, slang-spewing robots? "They're basically gone," he says, though John Turturro returns for comic relief.

The new film features Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. "Shia has this great line: 'You know, I've saved the world twice, but I can't get a job,' " di Bonaventura says.

Megan Fox, who played Mikaela, was dropped just before shooting, so LaBeouf's character also has a new love interest, played by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

"I love Megan and I miss the girl," LaBeouf says, flecked with fake blood and dirt during a break between shooting. "But Sam and Mikaela became one character, and here ... you have discovery again from a new perspective."

Plot details are under wraps, but it delves into the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. "The movie is more of a mystery," Bay says. "It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened."

While Optimus Prime, Megatron and even Sam all have died and been resurrected, di Bonaventura says this film will have no do-overs: Die, and that's it.

Bay hints that there may be a lot of that. "As a trilogy, it really ends," he says. "It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."

@Chris@ did you not pay attention to the second film, NEST is the organization the aids the Autobots in stopping the Decepticons, they are the military force that Epps and Lennox are commanders of, also it states that in the prequel comics.

@GUN@ head 04 is the best since it looks the most like Shockwave hopefully they go with that.

that final concept has way to much going on, I'm ok with him being a bomber since a giant gun would be dumb which is why I was ok with Megatron being a jet, I wanted a tank in the first film but he became one in the second which was cool, but that concept of Shockwave needs to be toned down and it needs head no. 04
