Transformers Takes Another $36.7 Million on Friday

Despite some disappointing fan reviews, it seems there no stopping the robot revolution!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has earned yet another $36.7 million on Friday and brings its three day domestic total to a whopping $125.9 million.

While Bays new Transformers is heading for a five day worldwide box office record, it is estimated that its domestic haul over the same frame could be more than $190 million.



A little movie you may of heard of called The Dark Knight holds the five day opening domestic record with $203.8 million. The Transformers sequel could earn $115 million this weekend for a five day total of $205 million. That's alot of money!

Revenge of the Fallen which is a DreamWorks/Paramount release is currently playing at 4,234 theaters, 169 of which are IMAX.



LEEE777 - Well i know its getting mixed reactions but most really love the sequel and im personally glad its making all these Millions, we can look forward to a Transformers 3 and if anyone's listening a Transformers/Gi joe crossover movie sometime in the future! Hey come oooon, that would be cool! ; )

Damn thats awesome for Transformers can wait for number 3. I'm actually one of the people that thought this movie was good and close to the last one. Who cares if the twins were talken black, did anyone stop to think that maybe they were making fun of white people trying to be black. hmmmm ;).

I thought that too @ BatmanKnight @ End of the day ROTF is a Big popcorn summer blockbuster an it delivered, its a toy line first an mainly made for the kiddies an big kids lol! Anyways we've all heard TRANSFORMER 3 news that its gonna be darker, which is cool!

People i wont say this film is Epic or perfect, but i will say its fun!!! Unlike a certain movie with claws that blew from the very first scene! End of the day ROTF gets the thumbs up! ; )

P.s. Yep the twins did suck though lol! but if you go in the cinema knowing that, it don't hurt so much! ; D

I don't get what the big deal is about the twins, I'm from the Deep South and EVERYONE makes fun of us, to most of the US all of Georgia is like Tobacco Road, I lived in the town that that the story was based on btw, seriously, I knew the family that the poor people were based on. you know thats not really helping my argument.

But when someone says something offensive about the south, I don't get offeneded, I mean nearly every comedy has something that makes fun of us.

This is an awesome post man...I have been waiting on some stats for the day-by-day gross on TF:ROTF, leave it to you (WHERE YOU AT JMAN!! HAHA J/K)

This movie was amazing...I have seen it 3 times...and no, I have NOT been to the imax yet....I will flat out say it, FCUK you haters, FCUK you nay-bay-sayers....this was an improvement over the first, and an overall enjoyable "cinematic adventure"...


Can't wait for #3 to topple Titanic

man, I was so dissapointed with this movie. I'm not the only one right? the humor and the dialogue was terrible! and those F**ing twins! the action and the graphics were amazing, but everything else was just blah!

Would everyone have been happier if the Twins were all:

"Leyuts Git ir Done, ah duh huh." instead of "Put a cap in his ass." Or "Sum beaoch" insted of "Pussy" or "Our momma's your wife!" instead of "We both twins dumbass" or instead of playing ice cream music they went "He's makin a left turn!"

I am totally [frick]ed up right now. My brother from another mother insisted we get hammered after the flic... and I gave in. I enjoyed it immensely. Now, as all films, it had its own issue's, especially abrupt ending of character development. What happened to the twins after last seen climbing across Devestator like a spider-monkey, I dunno, and there are no shortage of instances such as this. Sam's mom was no worse than my mom, it was his roomie that was pissing me off. All-in-all, great flic.

And I say this with absolute conviction, if you didn't like this movie, you are a cynical asshole. I am not one of these punk ass 18-20 year old jackass' who think they grew up on Transformers and G.I. Joe. I was there when Optimus Prime died, it was one of my first theater experience's ever, and I cried. That said, I found this to be a completely fulfilling experience and I encourage everyone, fan or no, to see this film.

And what the [frick] is up with all the hatred toward the twins? It baffles me. They were cliche, the gold tooth really threw me off, but were funny as hell for the most part. I nearly pissed myself when they called Sam's roomie a 'pussy'(if you've seen the film, I don't care who you are, that scene will make you laugh) I just wish character's like Sideswipe and Arcee had gotten more screen time personnally. I wouldn't go as far as to compare them to the lameness of Jar Jar Binks. Bumble Bee = Same's dog... very retareded point of view. The only Tranie to top him in ass-kickery was Optimus himself. Several EPIC moments exist in this film that most silly folks would passover. I smell a 3rd installment for sure.

I think the fact that we've heard they want TRANSFORMERS 3 darker means they do know ROTF isn't perfect by no means, but an enjoyable one!!! Im more worried HOLLYWOOD is gonna mess up WOLVIE 2! I think they should return to CYBERTRON or something an only have part the movie on EARTH!?!

Yeah the twins are abit of a pain in the a$$ but we knew that before going an yes it was a bad move putting them in! But theres alot of good stuff in this movie and the CGI is Amazing, blows you away!!! WOLVIE PANTS couldn't even do that!

The reason i go on about WOLVIE so much is because i really care for the character an FOX bummed it soooo much! Trust me if GI JOE doesn't make me believe i'll be on that instead like a rash! Another movie that's dear to my heart! ; )

Damn, while typing this, i just saw the new ROTF video game! Looks friggin; cool!!!! Okay we need some FOX pictures lol! ; D

Transformers 2 was a half great movie, half steaming pile of garbage. So the medium ground has to be that it was just ok. I certainly never thought it would flop! If they had of chopped off half hour of silly crap and upped the Robots character development it would have been great. I still preferred the first one.

But enough, im kinda sick of talking about it, especially since i leave myself open to rebuttals from fans of the movie that react like i just said i wanted to rape their sister instead of saying i didnt like parts of a movie!

dialogue and humor was weak. most of it wasn't even funny, it was annoying! but the fighting scenes were incredible. it still didn't make up for the damages the humans left, and some crying fartin robots left as well. at whoever keeps sayin about the twins bein a stereotype, needs to clean the sand from they're vagina. i didn't like them but ppl need to grow up

I stand my ground, this movie was cool but it was stupid. No where near as fail as Wolverine:Deplorigins but the development was lacking , the fight scenes were still too blurry although cool. Megatron lacked ambition and , ahhh who cares . All i know is the humans sucked the shtick was thick and the robots lacked in all ways. Did it bother anyone else when the cars were just parked they would look totally lifeless... they should never come across that way in IMHO.

i thought rotf was great. just as good as the first, if not a lil better. the only problem i had with it is that they didnt introduce or show interactions with the new robots. they were pretty much just in the background. but everything else was great imo.

id like to see bay get into the unicron story for the 3rd movie. if bay was smart he could of had a great trilogy if given the right story. heck it coulda even been a whole line of movies like harry potter. but we got wat he gave and im not complaining cuz it was still great. just a little more robot character development for the next movie please, optimus doesnt always have to be the main or only focal point.
