The concept art looks great. Too bad the story was boring drawn out for way too long. It was good for about a minute , then it got really boring really quick like. I love Transformers and hope the next movies isn't as bad as the last one.

I like these films. But this was was a bit of a bummer for me. Every time it got slow I just got impatient and kept wondering when I would get to see the Dinobots. Two hours later, there they are, and they got absolutely no characterization or even any dialogue. Was really disappointed. And whats up with Optimus Primes sword and Shield? Did I miss something in the movie? It was obvious he changed when he picked them up, but I dont recall them explaining any reason for the upgrades. Then he flew away. Does someone know?

I hate the part when he flew away at the end when he flew away, it had me thinking "why prime didn't do that in the beginning of the movie to help, escape from the humans".

@JoJo1982. He couldn't do that until after he picked up that shield and sword. They upgraded him. Thats what I was asking about too. If anyone knows what is so special about that sword and shield, and why they didn't explain it in the movie?

@DarthSandwich. Really? You liked this one the most? My opinion.....

Best story goes to the first one. They worked the humans into the story much better, and they filmed it so you actually got excited with each reveal. The other three tried to hard to fit the humans in. Especially Sam.

Best fight scenes goes to part two. Nothing has yet to top Optimus taking on three deceptions by himself in the woods, or opening a can of whoop ass on Megatron and the Fallen at the end.

WYLEEJAY, the story in the first one is typical E.T, boy finds an alien everyone wants it thing it's meeeh the second and third have no story.
Here's why i like this one, they refined designs, i can actually tell what's going on, Kelsey Grammar was actually a really good villain, same with Lockdown, this is the first time like villain felt like a character and there was no Shia Labutt[frick], a huge plus.

Yeah the first one was def cliche. But Sam was no where near annoying as he was in the other two. At least to me. This film did do a great job of bringing the camera back a bit so you can really tell whats going on, so I'll give you that, but so many negatives out weigh the few positives for me.

The way the Decepticons transformed looked too cartoony. Plus, how in the hell can anyone believe that in such a short amount of time Humans learned how to transform them that way, and that the Transformers themselves haven't figured it out in millennia? Makes no sense.

I have really come to love the character Drift in the IDW books, but they just hardly did anything with him in this whole film. Not a single action scene with the character except his scrap with Bee. We got to see him as a triplechanger twice, but they never even explained that either.

Bay was so worried about how to explain certain characters before that he cut them from previous films altogether, then just throws them in a later film anyway. Examples...

Arcee was supposed to be in part one. Bay couldn't figure out how to explain her gender so they cut her. Plus he said she was too small, yet Frenzy was much smaller.

The Dinobots weren't put in an earlier film for the same reason. Bay said he didn't know how to explainthe fact they turned into Dinosaurs, now their in the fourth film, with no backstory, characterization, or even dialogue. The movie never once explains why their dinosaurs.

Thats just a couple. I love this franchise even with its flaws, but this one had too many. Just my opinion.
