THE BOYS: Herogasm Brings The Debauchery And An Unmissable 3-Way... Fight! SPOILERS

Herogasm is finally here, and episode 6 of The Boys season 3 emerges as one of the strongest instalments of the Prime Video series yet - and not just because of the shocking debauchery on display. In fact, the titular Supe orgy proves to be fairly tame... relatively speaking!

When your season premiere begins with the jaw-dropping spectacle of a tiny Supe entering another man's urethra before growing to full size, there aren't really many other levels to take the depravity, and while Herogasm does contain plenty of sex, graphic nudity, and prehensile penises, it (wisely) sidesteps the temptation to outdo the Termite scene with anything too extreme.

The comic miniseries was a ridiculously OTT, often heinous and off-putting affair, but this (loose) adaptation is played mostly for laughs, as Starlight and MM make their way through The Twins' (Soldier Boy's former Payback teammates) house and bear witness the carnal carnage on display. In the episode's most hilarious moment, poor Marvin gets a bit too close to the action and finds out just how much fun one well-endowed party guest is having.

There is a more sinister side to the super-powered shag-athon, however, as MM points out that many of the participants are human sex workers who the Supes show little to no regard for. Also, amusing though the compromising situation he finds himself in with a f*cking octopus (literally) may be, we're begging The Deep to leave all marine life alone from now on (there's something seriously wrong with that boy).

In truth, the actual orgy is only the backdrop for an episode full of standout character moments, with Kimiko despairing that she's just as lethal and ferocious without her powers, MM finally revealing why he hates Soldier Boy so much in a heartbreaking confession to Starlight, A-Train disobeying orders to bring swift - and gruesome - justice to Bluehawk, and Starlight risking all by quitting The Seven and airing Vaught's dirty laundry to her millions of Instagram followers.

The highlight, though, is a knock-down, drag-out three-way super-brawl, as the now V-24-powered Butcher is finally able to confront Homelander and bring the fight to the psychotic leader of The Seven on a level playing field. Soldier Boy also gets in on the action, and when Hughie teleports in to join the fray, Homelander gets his first ever taste of defeat.

Unfortunately, before Soldier Boy can use his radioactive blast to fry the V right out of Homelander's blood, the overmatched Supe is able to escape through the roof.

What did you guys make of Herogasm? Was it as wild as you'd expected/hoped? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.
