Tonight's high-octane episode of Syfy's hit series The Expanse, "Triple Point," saw a fierce show down between forces working for and against the benefit of humanity. Admiral Souther attempted to take control of his ship from Winn, who is covertly associated with Mao and Errinwright, and alert the rest of the U.N. fleet of the illegal war they are fighting.
An all out fight begins as Souther and his men fight against Winn and his forces. While Winn kills Souther and regains control of the ship, the U.N. ships have begun to leave the combat area. This prompts Winn to fire a missile on a U.N. ship, killing everyone aboard. An all out mutiny then occurs as Martian ships, with U.N. ships firing on each other.
On Io, the Rocinante crew are attempting to infiltrate Mao's research facility, where they are seeking to both find Prax's daughter and also obtain a sample of the protomolecule for Avasarala. Just as they find a way in, Winn launches missiles containing the hybrids and protomolecules from the facility at the enemy ships above Io.
Picking up from tonight's cliffhanger, next week we will see the aftermath of the protomolecule missiles which have infected the ships they hit. The Rocinante crew seek to shut down the facility and prevent them from threatening anymore lives. Check out the promo and synopsis for next week's episode, titled "Immolation," below:
