Dwight Sports Some Very Familiar Gear In This First Clip From THE WALKING DEAD Season 7

In this clip from The Walking Dead season 7, Dwight seems to have commandeered some familiar duds from one of our main characters. Now why could that be? Possible SPOILERS ahead.

Nothing much of interest happens in this first sneak peek from The Walking Dead season 7, but fans will immediately recognize Dwight's clobber and the motorcycle he's sitting on.

Why would the thieving git be wearing Daryl's cloths and riding around on his precious wheels? Well, chances are this is just a bit of misdirection and everyone's favorite redneck survived the wrath of Negan and Lucille - after all, Dwight seems to have some kind of obsession with Daryl so it only makes sense that he'd once again seize the opportunity to get hold of his stuff.

Or, y'know, Negan really did bash Mr. Dixon's brains in.

Find out for sure when The Walking Dead returns to AMC in October.

I am really tired of wondering for months who the victim might be. So I decided not to think too much about it, lower my expectations and just wait 2 more months until it is revealed.

TWD writers, you really should have shown us who the victim is in the season finale. I feel like all sense of surprise will be gone by the time you decide to reveal it to us.

@kylo0607 -
And what would've been accomplished by showing the victim in that finale?? Should they have shown what happened after Riker said "Fire" at the end of "Best of Both Worlds Part I"?! It gives the fans who aren't whiny bitches something to discuss and dare I say, anticipate during the wait for Season 7. But no, the impatient, self-entitled internet crowd instead chooses to complain all summer....

I watched the S6 finale again last night and still think it's masterfully done, building a real sense of dread for 90 minutes, leading to a great intro for an iconic villain and confirming that yes, someone will indeed die. Maybe it's because I'm a child of the 70s/80s, when 90% of the shows I watched had big cliffhanger endings, but I don't mind the wait at all. I swear, half of today's instant gratification, spoiler happy generation's heads would explode if they had grown up back then.

And yeah, while I'm at it, get off my damn lawn.

@WADEZILLA13 - with all do respect I couldn't disagree more. They built a real quality sense of dread that I agree with, however they should've built that to Negans intro and save his hard core speech where he is gonna kill someone! Instead they continue to build suspense to a key moment and then kind of stop! Now they've wasted that momentum so there was no big moment! Instead it's a botched cliffhanger. If they showed who he killed and then cut, everyone would still very anxiously await how rick and co. react. Now they will try and recapture all that build up and it will not impact the same.

Again, I don't see how it's any different from the Next Gen cliffhanger I referenced, and that's revered as one of the greatest episodes of genre television ever. Nothing botched about it, just differing opinions on what constitutes good drama.

If it were up to me, the first episode of Season 7 would start with Negan pre-outbreak, and follow his rise to power , showing his reactions to Dwight's attempt to leaves, the bikers getting blown up, the nighttime raid, etc., culminating in his meeting with Rick and Co. from HIS point of view. Then show the victim at the end of the episode; what's another hour after a five month wait, right?

@WADEZILLA13 - Building up tension without any pay off is not called "good drama". If you want to see how a good cliffhanger is made (while still showing the victim), check GoT.

The last 10 minutes with Negan ARE masterfully done, but NOT showing who the victim is, throws any momentum built out of the window. And it's the reason why the season finale has 6.0 on IMDB.

Daryl becomes Negan's pet. Daryl fans are gonna be pissed I suppose.

Originally the intention was clearly for Glenn to be the one who died in the finale, however after the backlash about the cliff-hanger ruining the scene they have likely altered it slightly.

It'll probably be changed to have Abraham be the one who was killed at the ending of the last series. Then fans will breathe a sigh of relief only for Negan to then suddenly kill Glenn - that way they'll gain some level of interest from people. Though admittedly it wont hold the suspense/tension that the previous ending did.

Daryl is too popular a character, if he were to die, a lot of people would stop watching the show - they wont risk that. If they do that, then they'll try replacing him with Dwight and people will be annoyed.

he took the vest just he took the crossbow, Daryl didn't meet Lucile.

The showrunners don't have the balls to kill Daryl. I bet it'll be Abraham, it would explain why they swapped his death with that annoying fat chick.

Buwhhahahahah, killing Daryl simply is not going to happen. TWD is not GoT where anybody can die. GoT made it very obvious the first season that anyone can die by killing Ned. TWD however TWD at this point 7 seasons in, cannot kill Rick or Daryl. I personally believe makes its living off of killing the slightly popular secondary characters who really aren't integral to the plot of the show. Those two are really the only safe two in the whole show. Without Rick or Daryl, the show will see a drastic drop off in viewership.

This is all probably just misdirection from the shows producers to get the internet talking about the possibility of Daryl's death, which as I've said before, is simply not going to happen. Glenn and/or Abraham are the people who met their end at the hands of Negan

By the looks of the pic, Abraham would be the easiest swing.

I just wanna know already......dragging this on for awhile

Glenn and Abe only filmed one episode, the first one. It's 110% they're both dead. This is how I imagine it will play out:

Negan selects Abe for Lucilleing. After he begins, Glenn freaks out and tries to save him, getting himself killed in the process. Abe getting bashed is their "shocking swerve" to justify the cliffhanger, which means his avoidance of death by arrow only happened to keep him around for this.

Oh, and Negan continues the punishment for Glenn's outburst by taking Daryl back to the Sancuary as his prisoner (Daryl has only been seen wearing a baggy prison jumpsuit-esque outfit during production).

I used to love this show (the wife still does) but I've had enough after that completely stupid cliffhanger. Not watching anymore. I'll continue to read spoilers and recaps and that's it. Eat shit, Scott Gimple.

Multiple people get killed. I'm going with Abraham for sure. Glenn or Aaron as my second choice. Darryl is safe
