I saw one Walker tonight.

It's hard to Fear the Walking Dead when you don't see much of them.

@xombygod RIGHT! I thought I was the only one.. It's not very good at all. If anything, this episode was if not the best, one of the better ones (very few I can't really give it a plural). I just posted a review if you guys wanna check that out

Fear The Walking Dead is wayyy better than it's main show. It's a slow burn horror show which uses its scares sparingly, you know, like a good piece of horror entertainment should! The main show is so [frick]ing poorly written and thought out that the Walkers aren't threatening at all and the characters are in the greyland of who gives a [frick]sville.

Cut the shit @SuperCat we all know what you think will make the show better:

I somewhat enjoy Fear the Walking Dead, but it's like it's on a different world than The Walking Dead.

Fear has the gradual loss, humanity is at first attempting to answer what is happening, then trying to adjust, only to finally just let society fall. It's a very slow process to get to where TWD would be. It's a more realistic approach where concepts like Martial law is in play.

But thing is, TWD has it set up differently. They make it seem as if society fell so much faster. The military did come into play, but instead of martial law and safe zones, they already had a "whatever means" approach by essentially killing on sight in the hospital when Shane tries to get Rick out. Walkers quickly became a problem, with the massive amount of people moving out when Shane, Lori, and Carl meet Carol, Ed and Sophia. Didn't they say safe zones quickly got wiped out? Idk, might be just me and I need to rewatch S1 and 2 again.

This is by far the worst show i have seen in years. Each character is completely stupid and incompetent. The parents are stupid. The kids are stupid. The soldiers are stupid. The general population is stupid. Its a fkn stupid show if the smartest person in the first 2eps is the fkn drug addict. Its like watching a show full of andreas and carls mum. It ruined my favorite part of zombie apocalypse, the fall.

@Ace101, the fact that you hate it means it's a really good show. You have horrible [frick]ing taste in everything.
ManDeth
ManDeth - 9/27/2015, 11:28 PM
@Ace101 They've handled the apocalypse like it's a flu outbreak. The central characters are complete retards. Not one character behaves like a real human being. No shock or awe at seeing zombies. No mental breakdowns over the loss of the world or their dreams for the future. They've done plenty of talk scenes but none have represented what real people would discuss in such a time.

None of the writing makes sense. Ironic that it's titled 'Fear the Walking Dead' and no one really fears them.

AMC keeps Walking Dead cheap and small time to maximize profits. So it's been boring for awhile. But in the past year, since Gimple took over it's been extremely stupid. The writing is amateur.

@CaptainAmerica give it a watch then. Make up your own mind. And then we shall see if you have the same thoughts on it as you do now.

@ManDeth Thank you. Exactly. You took the words right out of my mouth, albeit more articulate than i expressed above lol.

Yet another week and I still see the same idiot comments "Needz mohr zombeez" F off tards...

Finally the show is about to pop off and really show the real identities of the characters. I like the direction this episode is going toward. I feel like the younger actors are more comfortable with this new world than the elders.

Once those arena doors open, it's going to get real. Then we will see a flood of bro comments "yayz we finally gotz zombees" God I really hate some of these people here.

@luxbox those people are strange indeed. I can sort of understand them though, for me i didnt like this show from episode 1, so i thought i would give it another shot maybe it would get better like other shows after a not so good pilot. Nope, maybe the 3rd episode will be better, come one...nope. Come on its the frigin arrival of the apocalypse maybe the 4th episode will be decent...never mind. im done.

I feel you. I guess I keep hanging on hoping it gets better. Only one episode left this season. I stuck around this long so so now I feel like I have to see the season finale.

@supercat I'll be whoring it up at that universal house of horrors - walking dead next week, pretending that they never released that abomination of a spinoff.

that show and cash grab left a bad taste on my mouth... but now it's time to go home :)

Cinematography is better than the main show that's for sure, FTWD it's like @JamesMann says a slow burn horror show and TWD it's more action packed and got strong fanservice, love them both.

I gotta get in on this thread.

I haven't missed an episode yet. Do I like it? Yea. Is it the worst show ever? Nah. Best way I can describe it is that its like that one chick that you wanna take out and you do, but you know she aint hot enough to like make you fall for her but she is good enough to have some fun with. Thats what this show is like.

Here is my beef. Why....WHY are all the kids such A$$holes? Seriously? That kills me. The dad and mom are calm, clueless, and provide good parental leadership qualities, but the kids seem to have totally missed the bus on this one cuz they are growing up to be total jerks. They talk back to their parents, they don't do what they tell them to do, and in a time like this you would think they would be maybe a little bit afraid but they aren't. They seem very much set on not following their parents wishes.

My other beef is why are the parents so afraid to tell their kids what the EFF is going on out there? They are doing everything they can to keep their kids from seeing the walkers but being that they are in LA (I grew up here in east LA) I guess they are set on showing the audience that these kids are pussies and can't handle the "real world" out there. That kills me. Kids out here in LA now-a-days are fearless. They always want to know the truth about everything. I also hate how these kids want to save people but yet don't even care about their own family first. Ugh.

What I like about the show? I like how it isn't focused on the walkers...at least not yet. I like how the National Guard is about to just say "fuk it" and go take care of their own. I think that would happen in real life. I also like how we all have no idea what is happening in the rest of the country. The lack of information is adding to the chaos that is soon to come. okay i am done here.

You know Chris wanted some of that Alicia booty when he saw her in the mirror.

@xombygod
Dude. I agree with you on all points. Well said. I never thought of looking at the show like some liberal level type stuff. Now that I do, you have a valid point. And ya back in the 90's the kids from the 90210 were 100% pussies. They were the ones always getting car jacked by the dudes from where I was from. Many 90210 kids provided jackers what they needed to get paid from chop shops. I knew a guy who would just run up on a kid in Bel-Air while they were at a stop sign an yell at them to get out that they were getting jacked an pretty much all the time the kid would freak out an run away and my friend didnt have a weapon on him. Fear alone worked cuz they were all pussies. haha. good times. Anyways, like you said, they have a second season now so we will probably get all we want then...maybe? who knows.

@SpecialFX45
Haha, Chris got his first boner when he saw Alicia shoulder in that mirror. And like a pussy he punked out. He had like a 2 second moment when they made eye contact that she gave him the "come nail me" look. And he turned away. Dude is afraid of chicks or he is gay. Once the Apocalypse hits he is gonna regret that he turned away. Might of been the last chance for him to get some ass ever.

On a side note I was thinking of who I would like to see die or get eaten by a zombie. My answer is all of em! In this order.

1. Alicia - She finds her boyfriend and he bites her an she gets away.
2. Chris - He finds Alicia in her undies (like that chick in episode 1 in the church) and he follows his lame instincts to "help her" cuz she looks sick an sexy an as he leans in to ask her if she is okay, she eats him.
3. Daniel and Madison go to save their family, but when Madison finds Nick he is a zombie already an he bites his mom. Daniel dont save her but finds his wife dead. He doesnt pay attention as he is crying over her corpse an a zombie eats him.
4. Travis - he and Ophelia go with Daniel and Madison to find their family. they get split up in the hospital (cuz when ever people in movies go into a building to find something they always split up) an so Ophelia is weak an freaks out as walkers eat her an Travis makes a break for it cuz he finds his exwife the nurse aka Liza. they get out alive an escape in a car as they drive off into season 2...together.

There are aspects about this show that are really good. I like the "slow burn" approach and outside of the main characters, they are really pulling it off. I wish that they show took a different approach in terms of showing the collapse of civilization, but I also have to realize that a)we know more than the characters and b)different parts of the country would handle things differently. For example, an outbreak will look different in Minneapolis than Houston.

The problem I have are with the main characters. Other than Daniel and the Lieutenant, none of the characters have grabbed me. I think is a combination of bad writing and bad acting. Hopefully things will get better cause overall its a good show.
