MAJOR SPOILERS For Tonight's Midseason Finale Of THE WALKING DEAD Have Leaked Online

The Walking Dead has haemorrhaged viewers this year but it sounds as if the AMC series may be getting back on track if these spoilers for tonight's midseason finale are any indication! Read on for details!

The first half of The Walking Dead's ninth season has been quite the game-changer for the series. Rick Grimes has been "killed off," Maggie was written out via a throwaway mention of her whereabouts, and we've recently been spending time with a much older Judith and even Rick Jr.!

With so many alterations being made to the AMC series, fans are understandably anxious to learn where things will go next and now spoilers from the episode have started doing the rounds online.

These are pretty major as they involve a massive status quo shift for one character, the death of a fan-favourite (who is still very much alive the comic books), and one heck of a cliffhanger ending!

Needless to say, these spoilers are huge, so take a look at them at your own risk by clicking on the "View List" button below. Once you've done that, feel free to share your thoughts in the usual place.

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOLLOW...

Father Gabriel is so busy worrying about Rosita that he neglects his duties keeping an eye on Negan and the villain finally manages to make his escape, something comic book fans will know all too well will have major ramifications for The Walking Dead moving forward.

With a herd of walkers closing in on Daryl, Aaron, Eugene, Michonne, Yumiko, and Magna, Jesus decides to do the heroic thing by staying behind to hold them off. Unfortunately, he ends up being stabbed to death by the talking dead who tell him, "You're where you do not belong."

Following the death of their friends, the remaining survivors come across one of the walkers pursuing them and discover that it's actually a person wearing the skin of one of the undead. This won't surprise comic fans but is quite the cliffhanger before the show returns next year.

Josh must be desperate this week.

These spoilers are always coming out every year for this show, and only recently has Reddit been willingly sourcing them from forums. That's definitely where he found 'em.

Ratings are the lowest they've ever been but they're still very good compared to most shows, between 4 and 8 million viewers. The comic, same thing, still in the top 3 sales of any house every time a new one hits the shelves. We keep saying this franchise is done for but it's still really strong.

I'm not even remotely interested in seeing the Whisperers story told without Rick and Carl.

So Carl dead, Ric MIA (doing who knows what!? Like why hasn’t he tried to escape and return within 6 years) and now Jesus is supposed to die...

It’s deviating too much it’s getting ridiculous...

Yup this show has gone off the rails!

*Edgy anti-Walking Dead* comment.
This show deserves less hate than what it's received.

I don't understand why the people who said they stop watching seasons ago, feel they have to come on a TWD thread to tell people they stop watching. What are you trying to prove?
There's a lot show I don't like or watch but I don't go on their threads and say the show sucks.

They probably think incest and dragons are really cool?
And like watching pedofile cartoons on Netflix.

@OttoManHandsome - Same people probably kept going into AOS threads too. Listen this show and other like AOS went to a bad place a few times, but this season has been great, and while it deviates....who cares? Its kirkmans world to do as he pleases, do you really just want to see the comic word for word done in live action? The actors want to move on in cases, and not be tied into a show that has long legs - its OK to write them off.

These people all shit on Carls character, then whined when he died. They talked shit on Rick and he gets kidnapped and they all whine. Negan is back soon, they whine, whispers are revealed, they whine. Literally just a bunch of stuck up people acting like babies about a franchise half of them dont really know fully.

Probably some purists out there who read every comic and know all the plot lines by heart....and i have to say to that...OK and? This is a mainstream show BASED off a comic, not a retelling of the comic. Its ok to see a different version of this, treat it like the WD multiverse, where this and the comic are different universes.

@BlackPhillip - Without giving anything away from the source material, they're called The Whisperers. Watch tonight and you'll find out what they are.
