THE WALKING DEAD Comic Series Set To Conclude With Wednesday's Issue #193 - SPOILERS

On the heels of the shocking death of one of the story's main characters, it's been announced that tomorrow's issue of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic series will be the last. More past the jump...

The last issue of The Walking Dead saw the demise of main protagonist Rick Grimes, and while many assumed that the series would keep going with his son Carl as the focus, THR has now confirmed that tomorrow's issue #193 will indeed serve as the conclusion of the story.

We're still not sure exactly what to expect from the 71-page, super-sized issue, but we do know that it will serve as a eulogy of sorts to Rick.

The Walking Dead TV series started off as a fairly faithful adaptation before diverging wildly as the show progressed, killing off several main characters that are still alive in the source materiel, and giving certain others that died early on in the comics much larger roles.

Tell us, will you be sorry to see The Walking Dead comic end, or do you think it's ran its course? Check out the cover for issue #193 below and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments.

For real though, I NEVER thought the TV show would outlive the comic.

@L0RDbuckethead - The TV show hasn't outlived the comic, not really. The comic was out for years before the show started.

@L0RDbuckethead - The show has gone on too long as well and has almost caught up with the comic.

@CorndogBurglar - True. I guess "outlast" was the word I should've used.

@L0RDbuckethead - both have gone on for too long, seriously the idea of a long term story about zombies is a bad idea, after a while its just going to get repetitive

So wait, we're not going to get another iteration of the "We've found safety, wait there's more people that endanger us, we have to take them out, oh no we won but now need to find new safety" arc?
