*SPOILERS* Sorry, for the long post in advance, but as a dalek lover I have strong opinions on this. XD

Well that was an interesting episode, Briggs was amazing as the Dalek, specially with the voice outside the casing really freaking creepy stuff. The Dalek casing was an interesting design that I wish was tried properly like in Series 5 with the colorful Daleks. I'm a total dalek nerd and the episode delivered!!
The writing was clunky here and there, like the Doctor explaining how jamming the gun will only work this one time and never again, or the Dalek building a new casing in a couple of hours in a scrapyard and having enough extra time to invent flying tech for the casing. The actual beating of the dalek wasn't very good either, the plans really felt half-cooked both the toaster part and the supernova part. But it was fun! The stakes felt real and high, the Dalek was killing mooks left and right! Very solid way to end the season.

PS. I hope someone questions the Doctor's willingness to kill the dalek (she said finalx7 warning but she didn't mean it, she knew it wasn't happening), but absolute refusal to kill any other crazy villain like Tim Shaw (after committing complete genocide on 5 planets!). There was never any plan A that involved the dalek surviving.

I need to rewatch it. I haven't really watched it in the first place as I was almost entirely asleep on the floor during it. I said "I only care about seeing the Dalek right now," so that's all I saw. And all I'm going to comment on. The design of the actual tank-suit, I really, really liked. I like the way the dome curved at the sides like a Nazi helmet - since that's what the Daleks are. The Dalek's personality seemed perfect. It having the ability to control a person was an odd addition (from what I saw of it).

Jodie and the gang seemed better in this episode (from what I saw). I'll watch it properly and return here.

@Nebula - I hope they try adapting the new casing into the regular daleks when they return in a season or two. It would have to be adapted a bit, specially the mid-section to flow better, but it's a terrifying new design apt for the drones we always see. While I hope the higher daleks keep the Moffet design, the cleaner, bigger look seems better for them. Like in Planet of the Daleks where the Supreme has his own unique design.
