Marc Guggenheim recently released details on the Arrow season 4 finale which will air on May 25.  The shoot will last for 11 days and wraps on April 19.  John Behring is directing from a script written by Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle.  Greg Berlanti is credited with developing the story.

The 23rd episode and season 4 finale of Arrow is titled "Schism" possibly hinting at a split among the members of Team Arrow.  Will the team of Green Arrow, Spartan, Overwatch and Speedy split up for good? Given the recent developments, the relationship between Oliver and Diggle just might splinter beyond repair.  If Arrow is headed for its own Civil War in season 5, will Green Arrow lead one side while Spartan leads the other? Given the narrative structure of the show, if such a split occurs, it's pretty much a given that Felicity will side with Diggle.

Season 5 needs to go back to basics and have Oliver on his own maybe in a different city

@megabatfan - I wouldn't mind if Sara comes back to retake the mantle, thought she was the better Canary

@Gilly200e - Now that's an idea. I've officially written off Arrow after they killed Laurel, but will continue to peep the scene here. If I see that's the direction they're headed, then I'm back on the bandwagon.

@Gilly200e - but then...then....he can't "SAVE MY CITY"...and continue using that stupid as hell catch phrase.

Kill of some characters in the season finale and make Oliver a badass killing machine in season 5 again.

Hopefully S5 is the last season. They've got kind of run the gamut with how far they've pushed these characters. Once they killed, revived, then killed then resurrected AGAIN Sara Lance, I knew this show was starting to wane. Plus, Damien Dahrk isn't nearly as interesting a villain as the League of Assassins was in S3, and even then they weren't that impressive.

Not to mention but even though I love Felicity's ass, she has been flanderized beyond belief to the point of annoyance.

Oliver will be furious that Diggle's distrust led to Canary's death. They'll all take sides for the episode and come together by the end. In the final moments, Nyssa digs up Laurel's grave.

Season 5 is the last hope of the show. If they can't get it back to season 2 level quality, then cancel it. The Flash is beating the brakes off of Arrow.

@JohnnyTBP - The show is rumored to end after five seasons anyway because they'll have enough episodes for syndication and they'll be out of island flashbacks.

@MarkJulian - nah if it still has a little over 2 million viewers or even 1 million the cw will renew it for a 6th season I mean look at shows like Supernatural(12 seasons) and the vampire diaries(7 seasons) even though both shows viewership has drop drastically since it's earlier run they're both still on TV

@MarkJulian - the flashbacks ruined the last 2 seasons

@JohnnyTBP - That's because the show doesn't have competent show runners and story tellers to actually make the flashbacks work and not feel like intermission for you to check your phone.
