ARROW Season 6 Image Gives Us Our First Look At Dinah Drake Suited-Up In Her New BLACK CANARY Costume
Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) joined forces with Oliver Queen & co. last season, but when The CW's Arrow returns to our screens this October, she'll finally be ready to take up the mantle of Black Canary.
Dinah Drake was hesitant to accept the role of Black Canary last season on Arrow, but when the show returns this October, the character will be ready to embrace her destiny and take up the superhero mantle.
EW has debuted our first look at Juliana Harkavy (The Walking Dead, Dolphin Tale) as Drake in her new outfit, and while it's not a million miles away from the previous Canary costumes we've seen, there are a few subtle differences.
Here's what Arrow EP Wendy Mericle has to say about Dinah's new duds:
"It felt that we wanted to save it for a special occasion, and the premiere seemed like a really good place to do it. She needs something tactical. She has this meta power, but she also has the bo staff, so we just felt it was right for her to have something that was definitely more than a nod to the DCU character, but also something that was distinctive from what we’ve seen before. This really fits the bill. Maya Mani, as usual, did an amazing job with it. My favorite part is actually the subtle hint of the gold and yellow lines in it."
