ARROW Season 7 Is In Active Development According To The Show's Executive Producer

Many thought Arrow would end after it recounted all of Oliver's flashbacks and were very surprised that the founding DCTV show was renewed for a sixth season. Well, get ready for a seventh!

Slash Film caught up with Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim at the Summer TCA press tour this week, where the showrunner confirmed that an outline for Arrow season 7 was starting to take shape. Said Guggenheim, "We’ve already started talking about ooh, we have a shape for season seven already.  This is the earliest we’ve ever had an idea for a season that far ahead, but it’s come out of our conversations about season six."

Surprisingly, Guggenheim also revealed that there's already a plan in place for how to end the show and that all the creative team needs is enough of a head start to implement it.  "I think we’ve always had an endpoint in mind.  We’ve always known how we want to end the show. That end point doesn’t require X number of seasons. If we had to, we could work towards it as long as we knew with enough leeway, we could work towards the moment we’ve been talking about since day one."

What do you think that moment could be? Many Arrow fans thought it would be the moment that all of Oliver's flashbacks during his five years away from Star City were completed.  And yet here we are, with a sixth season set to introduce a new wrinkle in Oliver Queen's life- fatherhood.

Arrow move to a new night this fall, airing Thursdays at 9PM on The CW.

Sounds great to me. As long as he isn't fighting super powerful magic guys again,

I just hope they do in their 7th Season either Onomatopoeia as the big bad:

Or the real Constantine Drakon, not the one from the pilot.

@NinnesMBC -

If they do that, have Scott Adkins play him

If Season 6 has enough energy from season 5, season 7 will probably be good

I'm gunna say it, Arrow is hands down my favorite comic book show. Er, tied with Legion. Had the opportunity to meet and talk with Guggenheim earlier this year and he is one of the nicest, coolest guys. Genuinely loves the characters and wants to give fans the best product.

I think at this point, every CW superhero show is trying to out do "Smallville" in longest superhero show property.

I think it's already confirmed that 7 will be the last season. I hope they don't kill Oliver or something. I'd still like to see him on Flash or Legends from time to time.

It has to end with two things. Going public with his identity, and his marriage to the Canary.

Hope when they decide on a GA film in the future that they completely disregard this show...
