Slash Film caught up with Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim at the Summer TCA press tour this week, where the showrunner confirmed that an outline for Arrow season 7 was starting to take shape. Said Guggenheim, "We’ve already started talking about ooh, we have a shape for season seven already. This is the earliest we’ve ever had an idea for a season that far ahead, but it’s come out of our conversations about season six."
Surprisingly, Guggenheim also revealed that there's already a plan in place for how to end the show and that all the creative team needs is enough of a head start to implement it. "I think we’ve always had an endpoint in mind. We’ve always known how we want to end the show. That end point doesn’t require X number of seasons. If we had to, we could work towards it as long as we knew with enough leeway, we could work towards the moment we’ve been talking about since day one."
What do you think that moment could be? Many Arrow fans thought it would be the moment that all of Oliver's flashbacks during his five years away from Star City were completed. And yet here we are, with a sixth season set to introduce a new wrinkle in Oliver Queen's life- fatherhood.
Arrow move to a new night this fall, airing Thursdays at 9PM on The CW.
