After clashing at WWE SummerSlam, it remains to be seen whether Stephen Amell and Stardust (a.k.a. Cody Rhodes) will end up having a one on one rematch somewhere down the line. Regardless of whether or not you're a fan of Arrow or wrestling though, there's no denying the good that their bout ended up doing. Through the sale of a limited edition t-shirts featuring artwork by Danny Haas, the duo raised an amazing $297,557 for Toronoto children's hospice Emily's House. Yesterday, the two put their "differences" aside and presented the cheque together as you can see from the image below, meeting the kids and generating the charity a lot of publicity.
"Today, Stardust and I presented Emily's House in Toronto with a check for $297,557 and helped open the Dream Space Playroom in memory of Oliver "Odd Sock Ollie" Muirhead," Amell said in a statement released on his Facebook page. "Can't really put into words what a special morning this was. The people who work and volunteer and Emily's House are actual real life superheroes. The Muirhead family should know that their Son left a wonderful impression. And forgive the break in character for a moment, but Cody Rhodes is one of the most selfless, genuine human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. What a day." Have the keyboard warriors who spent the past few months making fun of Amell and wrestling ever done anything this worthwhile? Doubt it...
