I have the exact feeling with MattBellissimo!It's as if they don't know what they want to do with the story!But... I still hope for better!!

I feel like the writers don't know what to do with the story and have written themselves into a twist tizzy....Flash writers know how to balance the twists and make it work. This season has been the weakest unfortunately

Man what a mess. For being cheesy action soap opera, this show can be so so good. But this season ruined the already-tenuous illusion for me. I don't think it can be fixed. I still enjoy it, but not as much as I did at the end of last season.

I used to refer to this show as "abs". I also connect the show's decline to the seriously dwindling ab shots.

Arrow has being pretty mediocre this season... still people defending this like "acclaimed by the critics" the same people who trash DC movie news everytime they can.

CW got fantards too it seems.

And I say that being a fan of Arrow and The Flash, but CW it's not a standard of excellence.

@Jollem It just doesn't have that WOW factor that Flash and AOS have this season. There have been a few solid moments like the Ra's fight at the end of the 1st half of the season but aside from that its been stale. The stakes haven't been as high. The show has a knack for finishing off strong though so we'll see. Still haven't really had those "HOLY HELL WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?!?!" moments. If this season is just a setup for Season 4 I'd be okay with that. Time will tell though.

@KurtWagner1225 preach!!! Agree completely. MALCOM plot is ass. This season has dissapointed me. Flash is just on another level, it overshadows Arrow so much. Youve hot Ollie coming to help Barry in his season finale. Arrow season finale...I'm not excited for it. Flash hs built up so much swag and badassery, it's season finale will own

I wonder if when The Flash does the Flashpoint story-line if it'll change that people know Oliver's identity as the Arrow... Or if it would bring someone like Tommy back? Kinda like Fringe - Season 4...

I still wish that DC could get its own channel or something. Being on the CW means they have to appeal to a certain standard of drama. The back and forth relationships every episode gets really tiring.

Unlike Flash (which I feel that its first season has flown by), Arrow has dragged along for me.

@ComicsBornAndBred

Except...Roy is arrested wearing Oliver's suit...and he only has one...

And there is an upcoming death

And Oliver still is in control seeing as he uses green arrows not league issue Arrows...and he is free to help Barry....

Clearly someone jumps to conclusions...

@Arrowverse okay....I'm not hype on all that. It's promising but it's not instilling overzealous excitement in me like flash is

Honestly, Sara's killer being revealed way too early in the season was a big blow to any tension they had set up. And The a being drugged to do it gives her a cop out. It's just an excuse so she can feel guilty while technically not being guilty.

Imo, Ra's should have been the major villian this season. One of his guys coulda went after Sara on his own (maybe a Minor league Dc guy) and that woulda got Ra's involved with Arrow... Met him, tried to find the killer, seen him in action and make the offer.

It woulda saved the duel til end of season and season four would start with Oliver being out of action or just having returned to starling

Along with a few guys like @Nomis, it seems like I'm just in a minority that still watches Arrow. It's fascinating how someone like Amell, who isn't that great of an actor, gets bashed and so that means Arrow "sucks" too. If a television actor who's not fantastic makes a series shit, then why no hate for the guy who plays as Barry on The Flash or the woman who plays as Skye in AoS? I really don't understand the backlash towards Arrow, especially when all the names I mentioned....they are just really great people behind the scenes. That, to me, makes me a fan of Amell and not whether he's a caliber actor or not.

Plus, I am loving S3 myself. I could be biased because I've been awestruck ever since the boxing glove arrow, haha.

@0megaDaGr0dd

Skye has become a major element of AoS, though. I think the comparison is fair because Coulson doesn't feel like the main guy anymore as he did in S1, but I digress, lol.

And imo, I think Katie Cassidy is the only one that's terribly bad on Arrow and it's not really her fault. Katie is a really good actress, but it's the writing or the direction that makes her seem terrible on Arrow on most occasion. Case in point: when Laurel was speaking to Lance during "The Offer" episode. Laurel's movements even just seemed off.

I think Amell is doing a really good job, though. His dry humor quips are there, but since it's not laugh-out-loud funny, or over the top, some people just don't like it. I think Amell has done a fantastic job as well since S1 giving Ollie this sort of "tick" when he's not Arrow such as his hands always forming an open fist as if he wants to be holding that bow even outside of the hood as a possible form of Ollie's own PTSD with wanting to be at war 24/7. Again, not a lot of people even take notice of this method and would just rather looks at Amell's stone face acting when he's saying his lines.

So far, it's still S1 > S3 > S2 to me. I never thought S2 was as great as others have said, but that's just me.

i have to agree with the majority here, the season has really dragged in the second half of it, and hopefully this speeds things back up to pace. I can't take the needy b/s from felicity anymore.

Next season needs to focus on Oliver. Let the Flash and that new show do the heavylifting promoting new characters.
