The ARROW Season 5 Finale Will See Oliver Make A Surprising Alliance To Stop Prometheus

Arrow season 5 is currently on hiatus and won't return until April 26 but that hasn't stopped executive producer Wendy Mericle from hyping up the finale which will have plenty of surprises...

The conflict between Oliver and Prometheus will rage on for five more episodes until Arrow's season 5 finale on May 24.  To finally stop the dangerous psychopath, Oliver will turn to an unexpected ally for help.

Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle hints that whoever Oliver turns to will be very surprising and they'll have interestingl ties to his family.  The most recent episode of Arrow saw Oliver disband Team Arrow and call in the Bratva but that doesn't seem like the surprising ally Mericle is describing.

The alliances are going to be very surprising.  You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus. It’s going to be really emotional. It’s going to be all about Oliver’s family, but not the family we’re thinking of right now. It’s going to end in a giant explosion, but not where we think it’s going to end, and the emotional punch is going to be bigger than the actual physical part of the bombs going off.”

Who do you think Oliver will turn to for help in stopping Prometheus? Deathstroke? Malcolm Merlyn (again)? The League of Assassins? A.R.G.U.S.? Perhaps Oliver will take a page out of Flash and the Legends' playbook and travel back in time to stop 'The Vigilante' from killing Prometheus' father? With five episodes until the season finale, Arrow returns from midseason hiatus on April 26 with "Dangerous Liasons", directed by Joel Novoa and written by Speed Weed & Elizabeth Kim.

"Perhaps Oliver will take a page out of Flash and the Legends' playbook and travel back in time to stop 'The Vigilante' from killing Prometheus' father"

I was gonna point out that it was actually Oliver who killed Adrian's father in S1 and not Vigilante, but then I remember that back then the Green Arrow was called either The Hood or The Vigilante so like at this point, now, I'm just sad that there is an actual character called Vigilante (such a umbrella nickname for a superhero) who we still don't know who is and who Oliver still has to handle.

I don't understand...The last episode was all about Oliver not teaming up with the "bad" guys....

@BlackStar25 - Funny how these CW DC shows try to teach the main characters a "lesson" and then the next episode (or next few episodes) later they go on doing what they learned not to do.

Flash, while a great show is guilty of doing this, and it looks like now Arrow is doing the same thing.

@Brifo @samantha1990 - I was going to hold off watching Arrow until they fixed their mistakes with Laurel Lance, but if they did that (and kept Felicty dead) then I would gladly come back to watching this show with a grin on my face.

@Brifo - I know you and I are definitely not alone aboard the SS Kill Felicity.

@PrimitiveMan - It's still pretty enjoyable, despite Felicity. It would just be much, much better without her.

Calling it now, Oliver will team up with Deathstroke to defeat Prometheus. And then after they beat him – stroke is going to kill someone on team arow and set him back up as either THe or one of the main villain is for season six

I also think Thea might be vigilante that's all she's been working out her blood lust.

@Batman5 - I was thinking the same. Cause there's some parts where vigilante stands like sort of womanly

And please don't kill Prometheus in the finale just have him beat and taken into custody or make it ambiguous that he may have survived. chase is awesome, he is basically Olivers joker
