Despite Warner Bros.' insisting that its DC projects are all part of a connected Multiverse, its TV shows continue to be beholden to whatever is happening in the movies. That's why we don't see Batman making his presence felt in shows like Titans and Batwoman, though the latter series is set to make use of one of the Dark Knight's most iconic adversaries.
According to a newly surfaced synopsis for the October 20 episode on The CW (the second instalment of season 3), we're set to see a "new incarnation" of Killer Croc in this small screen Gotham City. We're not 100% sure what that means, but given the network's limited budget, chances are he'll be more human in appearance than what we saw in 2016's Suicide Squad.
"When a new incarnation of Gotham's swamp slumming Killer Croc surfaces and starts racking up a body count, the inaugural team-up of Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is put to the test," reads the synopsis. "But Alice isn't the only unwanted intrusion into Ryan's life when Jada Jet (Robin Givens) shows up at Wayne Enterprises, insisting on meeting the company's new CEO."
"Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary's (Nicole Kang) relationship is strained under the weight of a secret Luke is keeping," it concludes, "while Sophie (Meagan Tandy) finds herself becoming part of Ryan's inner circle."
Directed by Jeff Hunt and written by Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux, "Loose Teeth" should be a fun episode of Batwoman, even if KIller Croc doesn't necessarily look like his comic book counterpart. There's a chance the show will surprise us, of course, and the villain could be a CG creation.
Batwoman season 3 premiere on The CW on Wednesday, October 13. A first look at Mad Hatter in that episode has been released (via Superherohype) which you can see below:
