Justice Society: World War II arrives on streaming platforms on April 27th, 2021, and hits 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray on May 11th, 2021. This next entry in the DC Animated Universe sees The Flash thrust into the midst of an epic battle between Golden Age DC Super Heroes the Justice Society and Nazis for an adventure which definitely doesn't play out the way you might be expecting.
We recently had the chance to catch up with Matt Bomer to discuss his standout performance as Barry Allen in the movie. Of course, that's not the only DC role the American Horror Story and White Collar alum has taken on in recent years; Bomer also plays Larry Trainor/Negative Man in Doom Patrol.
The show's second season ended prematurely thanks to COVID-19, so we asked Matt whether he's working on season three and if he could drop any hints about what we can expect.
"So, we’re about halfway through season three now. All I can say, and I sound like a broken record when I say this, but it’s true: the writers have somehow found a way to outdo themselves. While still keeping it in the world of the piece, the characters are all going through these circumstances that are somehow hilarious, absurdist, mildly outlandish and grounded at the same time. I’m really excited for what Larry has in store this season. What he’s experiencing on the show is really unique and so fun to get to play. I think it’s true to his character, and I hope the fans of the show enjoy it."
When we last saw this unique group of characters, they were facing off with the evil Candlemaker.
There are a lot of crazy places Doom Patrol's third season can take us. While we don't have a premiere date for the HBO Max-exclusive series just yet, we are expecting it later this year. Bomer has been a highlight as Negative Man thus far, and it sounds like there's much more to come for him in the show.
