Coming off of Gotham's latest action-packed episode, people have begun to develop theories regarding many characters. Showrunner Bruno Heller addressed one of these theories that seemingly suggested that we could see a female joker in Gotham. See what he had to say HERE...
After yesterday's shocking episode of Gotham, many begin to wonder what might happen with [SPOILER]. While many wondered that, others came up with ideas, and theories regarding many other characters in the series. One notable speculation suggested that we'd see a female Joker terrorizing the streets of Gotham some time in the future.
Showrunner Bruno Heller spoke on the matter, and revealed that they've actually considered the possibility of a female version of that villain. "100% possible. One of the central themes of the DC world is transformation and revelation." He then continued, "Absolutely, those kinds of – I wouldn’t want to call it playing with people’s expectations or gender expectations – but we’ve absolutely considered the possibility of a female Joker, and we haven’t...well I’ll stop myself from saying more because I won’t be able to stop revealing things."
With the idea considered, this leads us to ask who would be the female clown of crime! Barbara? Selina? Sarah? Gordon?!? Oh, well if Gordan became the female clown of crime, that would seemingly defeat the purpose of this article. But hey, Heller did say there's "nothing is too strange or too bizarre or too shocking for us to consider." No? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
