GOTHAM: Jerome Assembles His Dastardly "Legion Of Horribles" In A New Episode Trailer

Jerome may not be Gotham's Joker (according to the showrunners), but the character is doing a very convincing job in this trailer for this week's episode, "Mandatory Brunch Meeting". Check it out...

He's got the grin, the laugh, and the penchant for chaos, but Gotham's Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) isn't the Joker; at least, according to the series showrunners. As for the show, it hasn't really gone out of its way to persuade viewers otherwise.

Monaghan has given a performance mirroring the villain despite lacking the official moniker, and some recent set photos showed the actor in Joker-esque garb, complete with a white face and red lips (though lacking the facial scars the character recently acquired).

In the latest promotional material for this week's episode, "Mandatory Brunch Meeting", Jerome is seen assembling a team of supervillains (which he dubs the Legion of Horribles), comprising of Mr. Freeze, the Penguin, Scarecrow, and more. The trailer promises, explosions, chaos, and "a secret that will change everything". Could we finally discover the mystery of the Joker? We'll have to see this Thursday.

Could it be that he won't officially be the joker till he falls into a vat of acid at Ace Chemicals?

@HulkSmash78 - That was my thoughts too... they’d be fools not to make Monaghan the real Joker, but their wording during statements has me thinking that he’s not The Joker (yet)

After Ledger, I think he is by far the best Joker we've seen in live action. That actor is born to play that role.

They better play the Joker 1989 theme when he finally makes his appearance. That would be amazing.

Jerome remains the only thing of this show that's remotely engaging.

Initially I hated the idea of a young "proto-Joker", but I am really enjoying this portrayal.
The writers would be fools to have somebody else become the Joker at this point.
