GOTHAM: Our First Glimpse At BATMAN Is Finally Here On Poster For The Final Two Episodes

FOX has released a new poster for the first two episodes of Gotham and Batman finally returns to the small screen as we get a glimpse of the Dark Knight's suit from behind. Hit the jump to check it out!

It's no secret that the series finale of Gotham will jump a decade into the future to show us a fully formed Batman taking on the many villains we've been introduced to over the years.

Not too long ago, a leaked image of a Batsuit started doing the rounds and what we see on this poster definitely matches that. From what little we can see, this looks pretty good for a TV show and it will be interesting seeing how it's brought to life on the small screen, especially as FOX will reportedly find a way to insert David Mazouz's face on an older actor's body!

Even if you haven't been keeping up to date with Gotham, the final two episodes should be well worth checking out and you have to hope that this finale will handle the introduction of such an iconic superhero better than Smallville did with the Man of Steel!

What are your thoughts on this Batsuit? Let us know down in the comments section.

Awesome, looking forward to the final two episodes. Hope they are as great as the first 7 this season.

@HeavyMetal4Life - aside from the episode that ended with Haven being blown up (which was genuinely shocking and impactful), I've been incredibly disappointed and underwhelmed with this final season. The way last season ended I figured each episode this season would focus on Jim and the survivors banding together to take out a different gang each episode in order to try to take back Gotham and really focus on the bad guys we saw in that finale. We haven't even seen a ton of the cool gangs that were shown and even a few were just killed off in a blink and you missed it moment by Barbra. Instead it feels like they are just stretching for time every episode and making the Nygma and Penguin submarine plot and the Bane arc take up the entire of the focus. Jeremiah only really had the focus for 1 episode and a few short scenes before that. I was expecting this final season to be crammed, jam packed full of content. It feels like they are just buying time and stretching out the season and everything just feels cheap.

But I'm hoping that's because they made the decision to penny pinch the season in order to save everything for the finale and go out with a massive, almost big budget series finale which would close out the show in legendary fashion.

I love Gotham and absolutely hate that I'm not enjoying this final season thus far.

I didn’t keep up with Gotham, so has he just developed into Batman without ever leaving or has Bruce left for some time to train?

@Knightrider - He hasn’t left yet, but it’s been hinted the past few episodes that he plans to. He’s only 17 at this point so he still has time to train

@Knightrider - The final episode is a ten year time skip so I'm assuming he'll go off to train somewhere.

@TerryTerrapin - Yeah, he's 19 right now and he's going off to train next episode. The finale will be 10 years in the future.

@Ghostnuzzler98 - I think Bruce is 19 now and he'll be 29 in the final episode.

@Knightrider - If I remember correctly, when he was trained by Ra's al-Ghul, he had left Gotham for a good part of one season. He was under mind-control for a large part of that time, but he retained what he had learned.

Kinda reminds me of the Titans version of Batman

I haven't watched Gotham since late season 1, but I will tune in for this.

Question for viewers of the show...

Won't A LOT OF PEOPLE know that Bruce is Batman? I haven't watched the show much, but even from the outside looking in, it looks like many people are aware of Bruce's desire to rid Gotham of crime and his vigilante talents at a young age. There seems to be no duality between Bruce and Bats heading into the future.

@BlackBeltJones - Yeah, I guess if he became Batman right now, a lot of people would figure it out. But keep in mind, Bruce doesn't become Batman for another 10 years. Everyone will have forgotten about Bruce Wayne. He can just act like a playboy in the future and it will all be fine. Gordon and Penguin will probably know. But Penguin knows about Bruce's identity in some versions anyway.

@Nightwing1015 - guess you're right. Even then, its still a bit weird. Seems like he isndoing some drastic stuff now.

I think if he leaves for a good amount of time, and dresees it up as him maybe partying all over the world, [frick]ing up shit, running away, and returns, no one would suspect.

@BlackBeltJones - yeah this show is a mess. If it would have continued on for like another 5 seasons and ended with Bruce in his early 20s which by then David Mazouz would have been, I think the show would have had more of a chance to smooth over some of those aspects, but now having to rush everything they were planning towards and condense it into 10 episodes... this final arc is a disaster. Its really hard to defend this show, especially now. I'm gonna miss Gotham but I'm also kinda glad it's going.

I don’t know exactly why, but the theme for Tim Burton’s Batman played in my head as I looked at the poster.

@RolandD - I wish more things would take inspiration from Tim Burton's Batman

Can't ever go wrong and mess up the bat-ears. It's a nice teaser.

Since the acquisition is official now, doesn’t that mean that technically a DC property is showing on a Disney owned a studio ??
