After a solid premiere last week, Krypton began to settle into its own little groove in tonight's hour as Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) managed to get some revenge against Daron-Vex and Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) discovered that Brainiac (Blake Ritson) wasn't incoming, he was already on Krypton!

Next week, during a military lockdown, Seg and Adam Strange will team-up to find a deadly Sentry that could help the duo save Krypton and protect the storied legacy of the House of El.

Watch the promo for episode three, titled "The Rankless Initiative," below:

#1.3 The Rankless Initiative (April 4)

During a military crackdown on Seg's home district, Seg and Adam Strange race to find a deadly Sentry.

Set two generations before Superman ever heads to Earth, Krypton follows Kal-El’s grandfather (played by Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The series comes from producers David Goyer (the Dark Knight trilogy) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow). Along with Cuffe, the show stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) and Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones).

Krypton features:
Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El
Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod
Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange
Ann Ogbomo as Jayna-Zod
Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em
Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex
Ian McElhinney as Val-El
Blake Ritson as Brainiac

Krypton returns with an all-new episode on April 4

@Luminus - Wow...utterly tasteless.

@Optimist18 - Utterly real. Facts don't care about your feelings. Generally, white people NEVER have a problem with almost every show being mostly white. It's a show about aliens in another galaxy and it's still, STILL, mostly white characters. There's no excuse for that. Period.

The only thing I like about this so far is the Detroit Tigers hat.

“Planet Detroit” indeed!

It was an ok episode, they are setting up the whole premises, so i'm ok with it, hopefully it gets more excited from here on out.
Although why does everyone have an english accent?
When it comes to the House of Zod, this means that he's...actually black?
I don't like that, you can push for diversity all you want, but do it with the rest of the cast, the other houses, like Vex, not someone who is well known in the comicbook stories ffs.
It's not a big deal, because we'll never get to see Zod, but otherwise, i hate these things.

@Doomsday8888 - general zod will be 25 per cent black and seeem his mother Lyta is half black & white

@Doomsday8888 - what difference does it make if Zod is black? This is its own continuity, isn’t it (despite originally being billed as part of the DCEU)? So it’s not directly beholden to the other interpretations if that’s the case.

Further, does him being black alter his character in any way? Especially given they’re aliens on an alien world without the same racial problems in their history as we on Earth have? So... how does it fundamentally alter the character in any way? Answer: it doesn’t. It’s the same character more or less, just a different skin color. So what?

@DIrishB
By that logic, i take it you'd be ok with a black Superman?

@DIrishB - This could still take place in DCEU continuity, at least somewhat. Lyta is already mixed. Even then, interracial parents can conceive children who still favor the appearance of one parent or the other. So, my point being, if General Zod's father (or male genetic material donor) is pure white, Zod himself can appear as "purely" white.

Genderal Zod will be 25 per cent black

@zeon00 - it’s weird people are focusing in on this... so what if he’s black? This is its own continuity, isn’t it? I know it was originally billed as a prequel to the DCEU, but that isn’t really the case anymore, is it?
