Syfy and David Goyer's venture into the superhero world will take an interesting turn with their Superman prequel series,
Krypton. The series was originally thought to just focus on Superman's grandfather, Seg-El, though it was later revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that a time-travelling plot to assasinate Superman is what sparks the events of the story.
Syfy has given the series a premiere date of
March 21st, 2018, and revealed a new image that features Seg-El's grandfather, Val-El (
Game of Thrones actor Ian McElhinney), along with his parents.
