LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: It's A Party In New Photos For Season 5, Episode 7: "Romeo V. Juliet: Dawn of Justness"

The CW has released twenty-four photos from Legends of Tomorrow episode seven, which will, sadly and unfortunately, be the final episode for both Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford as series regulars.

On March 17th, DC's Legends of Tomorrow bids farewell to two of its own as both Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford sadly exit the fan-favorite superhero drama as series regulars, and while the fates of their characters remain uncertain for now, the latest batch of photos may have inadvertantly revealed that Ray Palmer and Nora Darhk will indeed get the happy ending they deserve.

Routh was one of the three original cast members (with Caity Lotz and Dominic Purcell) left aboard the Waverider, so his absence will undoubtedly be felt throughout the rest of this season and likely into next as the show reconfigures the team's time-traversing mission.

While the pair may be gone for now, the photos and synopsis do seemingly leave the door open for a possible return down the line. There's also a small possibilty they're being transferred to a different DC TV series or, considering how well received Routh's Superman return was in "Crisis on Infinite Earths," there may be a chance of him retiring The Atom for now and suiting up yet again as the Man of Steel. However, that's probably a longshot, at best.

"Romeo V. Juliet: Dawn of Justness" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

SAYING GOODBYE - The Legends continue their hunt for pieces of the Loom of Fate and find themselves face to face with William Shakespeare. Ray (Brandon Routh), Nate (Nick Zano), Rory (Dominic Purcell), Constantine (Matt Ryan), Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Behrad (guest star Shayan Sobhian) stay a little longer on the mission making things worse after lying to Sara (Caity Lotz). Meanwhile, Ray and Nora (Courtney Ford) make another big life decision that leaves the team surprised and best buds, Nate and Ray, on the outs. Jes Macallan, Tala Ashe and Olivia Swann also star. Alexandra LaRoche directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Matthew Maala (#507). Original airdate 3/17/2020.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with "Fugitives" - magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone's favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Charlie
Tala Ashe as Zari Tomaz
Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe
Courtney Ford as Nora Darhk
Amy Louise Pemberton as Gideon
Ramona Young as Mona Wu
Nick Zano as Dr. Nate Heywood/Commander Steel
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Matt Ryan as John Constantine
Adam Tsekhman as Gary Green

Didn't think we would see Mona again. She didn't work as a Legend, but as an occasional character, she should work fine.

My hopes for episodes

Billy The Kid Episode: Bring back Jonah Hex.

Vlad The Impaler Episode: Create the Arrowverse Dracula.

Ian Fleming Episode: Do a classic Bond style spy plot.

JFK Episode: Either meet him during WW2 or do an episode where they need to stop someone, from stopping the assassination.

Kamandi Episode: We have wanted this since season 2.

Robin Hood Episode: They did the Knights of the round table, they can do other myths

Still not looking forward to saying goodbye to Ray [and Nora], he has been the heart of the Legends and I'm not really sure how the Legends team will perform going forward. Yeah, Jax left the team and that transition was handled well, but Ray's loss is going to be huge. It would be like if Flash lost Joe, or if Arrow had lost Diggle. Just going to really change the landscape of the show.

And it sounds like him getting written out of the show wasn't handled well behind the scenes either...

@HeavyMetal4Life - All thats left of the original cast is Sara, Mick and Gideon now, once they leave, id say its time to end the show. Sara really is the lead of the show. For new members hope we get Adam Strange or Tommy Tomorrow or kamandi

@HeavyMetal4Life -
That sucks! He's really the heart of this show.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Yeah, I could honestly see this hurting the show if they don't handle this well.

At least the way they're writing them out still leaves a door for them to possibly return, unlike Martin Stein (when the actor left to focus on his broadway show).
