In the Peacemaker season finale, the Justice League showed up to help stop the Butterflies...after Christopher Smith and his friends had already defeated them. That led to poor Aquaman receiving a barrage of abuse from the former Task Force X member, though it was only that hero and The Flash who were played by the original actors (Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller).
Superman and Wonder Woman were portrayed by stand-ins, as were Batman and Cyborg. For whatever reason, the latter two were cut from the episode, but the actress - Kimberley von Ilberg - who filled in for Gal Gadot has now shared some photos from her time working on Peacemaker.
Unlike the Man of Steel's double. Brad Abramenko, Kimberley isn't campaigning to take another shot at this character. Instead, she's clearly blown away that she was given the opportunity to suit up as Wonder Woman on HBO Max and we can't blame her. Despite being hidden in shadow, that must have been an amazing day to be on Peacemaker's set and she's now part of one of the DC Extended Universe's most memorable moments (and, we'd argue, one of the funniest).
Season 2 of Peacemaker has been confirmed, though it's unclear when it will begin shooting as James Gunn (who will write and direct each episode) is busy with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
