Picking up where The Suicide Squad left off, Peacemaker received widespread praise from fans and critics alike, and news of a season 2 renewal surprised no one. With James Gunn (who has confirmed plans to write and direct every episode) busy shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, we don't know when to expect more episodes, but hope to see 'em arrive on HBO Max by 2024 at the latest.
Now, Hot Toys is celebrating the series with an awesome new action figure. Based on John Cena's likeness in the show, the 1/6th scale figure features a new head sculpt, an interchangeable helmet, an attachable tongue to create alternate expressions, a specially tailored outfit, weapons including a sword, an axe, and a figure stand, and Christopher Smith's beloved sidekick, Eagly.
As Hot Toys go, this probably isn't the best effort we've seen from them, and we're not sure why the only expressions available are Peacemaker screaming like a loon or sticking his tongue out!
During a recent interview with People, Cena once again weighed in on the possibility of sharing the screen with his old wrestling rival Dwayne Johnson. He's set to take on the title role in Black Adam this summer, and a meeting between these two characters would certainly be...unique!
"I'll say the same thing every time with possibilities in the sort of universe...it would be an honor and a privilege to be able to perform with him," the pro wrestler turned actor said. "I think there still is a passionate marketplace that wants to see him in. But I'm sorry, man, that's just not my choice so I don't know. It's so far beyond me. It's beyond what I'm able to control."
