With Supergirl set to return for its sixth and final season in just over a week, The CW has released an awesome batch of photos from the final season premiere, offering a sneak peek of Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and her entire team squaring off against Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer).
This will be the first episode to air in nearly a year, after the fifth season was cut short due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent production shut down. Like The Flash, the first few episodes should wrap up last season's storyline before moving into the overarching arc for the final season.
In related news, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that newcomer Eliza Helm has joined the cast as a young Cat Grant. She's set to appear in the final season's fifth ("Prom Night") and sixth ("Prom Again") episodes, which will flashback to a young CJ Grant as she's just starting out her career. Her official character description reads,
"Eager to step out of Lois Lane's shadow and out from under her boss, Perry White's thumb, Cat chases a story to Kara's hometown of Midvale. This lead won't go as planned, but it will put her on the trajectory toward the Media Powerhouse we know and love as Cat Grant."
