SUPERGIRL: Kara Is Trapped In The New Promo For Season 6, Episode 2; "A Few Good Women"

After a year off, Supergirl is finally back and following its action-packed sixth and final season premiere, next week's chapter will further up the ante as Kara finds herself trapped in the Phantom Zone!

After a strong premiere, Supergirl continues its sixth and final next week with another major installment as Kara (Melissa Benoist) finds herself imprisoned in the Phantom Zone with no way out, a dire predicament that nearly brings Alex (Chyler Leigh) to her breaking point.

Meanwhile, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) is forced to make a decision about just how far she'll go to bring her brother Lex (Jon Cryer) down once and for all.

On another note, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) will be taking on the Guardian mantle from her brother (Mehcad Brooks) this season. Co-showrunner Jessica Queller tells them, "That [has] been our plan since the beginning of creating that role," said Queller. "We just wanted to find the right context for it, and so it just evolved really beautifully in the context of the social justice stories we wanted to tell [in season 6]."

As for who Kara will face in her final season, outside of Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer), co-showrunner Robert Rovner teases, "We have several villains this season. We have Jon Cryer who's back as Lex Luthor. He's in the beginning of our season. He's intent on finishing up his master plan from season 5 once we start things out, and then he'll return later in the season as well. And then we have two other big bads for the second half of the season, which I can't talk about."

The opening sequence ... I'm really not sure what was going on. I feel like I may have missed an episode? Consequence of extended hiatus? Reminded me of the end of Superman 3, which I'm not against. Doesn't matter though, Jon Cryer won the Comic Book Wars.

So there is land in the phantom zone, from what we saw of it in season 1, i thought it was just some kind of endless void

Betting the person who helps her out of the zone will be the big bad.

Maybe Jax Ur. (Ursa would be cool)

Now that Superman has a show, think we can forget about any major superman villains like Zod and Brainiac showing up here

Enough with the stupid side characters already. Kinda glad this show is ending.

Solid episode in my opinion. Of the "delayed" 2020 episodes (this show and Flash), this really did feel the most like it belonged from last season. Obviously, since this clearly was the originally s5 finale. And you know I think this would have been a good ending to season 5.

There was a lot going on in the episode, especially in the beginning. All those plots from last season being wrapped up. I don't remember the anti-life equation so was kind of surprised that showed up briefly, but perhaps that was a part of the end of last season. Don't care for how Alex looks. Don't quite understand how her nano whatever device works either. I was surprised to see Otis again, I thought he was dead.

But anyways, the highlight of the episode was obviously Cryer's Lex. God when he just is having a blast in the fortress firing guns and playing with grenades etc while rocking out to Queen, that was fantastic. I'm glad to see that he will return later this episode. I was a little curious what he meant by other world's, no one on this Earth knows about the existence of the new multiverse yet.

Also, there must be two different Fortresses on this Earth.

Wow did not expect a mention of the Anti Life Equation.

Maybe one day the arrowverse will do New Gods

Seems Lex was celebrating too early.

Still has his arch enemy Superman

Plus post Crisis there is now the flash

(Also the legend, but dont think lex would consider them a threat one way or the other)

Excellent start for Supergirl’s final season. Melissa was outstanding as ever and ready to give her all to save others. Looking forward to seeing how Kara will escape the phantom zone.
