THE FLASH: Abra Kadabra Returns In The New Promo For Season 7, Episode 4; "Central City Strong"

After nearly a year, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his S.T.A.R. Labs have finally thwarted Eva McCulloch's (Efrat Dor) evil plan, and next week's episode of The Flash will begin the season anew as we begin to really dig into the actual plot of season seven, which based on the speed force storm from the hour's closing moments will introduce the likes of Godspeed and potentially many other new speedsters.

Before he can get to that, Barry will first have to deal with the return of a vengeance-seeking Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian), who has his sights set on making Central City disappear. Meanwhile, Allegra (Kayla Compton) deals with her own tricky situation while Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) suspects something is wrong with her alter-ego Frost.

Elsewhere, Iris (Candice Patton) will continue her efforts to readjust to being back home in the real world and will be forced to confront a dark moment from her past.

For some reason I'm glad Eva survived she'd make a great powerful ally if shit hit the fan.

Wonder if this will be treated like a normal episode or a season premier (maybe include the usual between season time jump.)

Guess they will finally do something with the speed force storm. Remember there was one at the end of season 3. We thought thats what would create the season 4 metas and then they gave a reason for new metas in sesson 4’s first episode

It was a solid episode, but felt weird at times because this was supposed to be the original finale, but it also ended weird for a finale. Idk, episode leaves me a bit conflicted. I'm surprised that OG Wells shows up only to leave again, that was unexpected. Yeah, the power of love is cheesy; it didn't totally make sense here but I also didn't entirely hate it. The final fight had some good sequences, especially with Barry. Didn't expect Eva to have a crisis of conscience and become good suddenly, and then disappear. Just was an uneven episode and even though its only the 3rd episode of the season, it also had a finality to it that did not feel like they fully stuck the landing.

Some stray observations. First, what was OG Wells looking at when they were powering up the speed force? He very purposely looks at something off screen and then they never reveal it. Second, when Eva is asking Barry what has he done to make the world a better place, why didn't he talk about Crisis? He just bit his tongue and basically acted like she was correct.

Interested in seeing where we go from here. This was in my opinion the weakest episode of the season so far.

Is it me or has the dialogue just gotten significantly worse / cheesy? Like, I know it's always been but tonight's episode seemed to turn it up a notch.

And what was the point of Wells returning and then leaving again? I hope they bring him back sometime down the line.

The way they dealt with Ralph was just plain awkward lmao.

The Barry running scenes were the drizzles!! Complete horrible garbage. lol

It does seem like they turned up the cheese-factor a bit for this episode....dialogue was bad, the whole Iris/Barry love bit, Barry in general seemed more whiney than usual (and that's saying a lot), the way they wrote off Ralph.... idk, it was an okay episode but it definitely seemed like the cheesiness was turned up for this one.

I'm assuming they will go back later down the line and show us who Wells was looking at because it was obviously done. There's no way they don't come back to that moment. I'm guessing it will be at some point when the big bad is explaining things to Barry about why he is there and doing whatever it is he is doing or perhaps even how he got there, but Wells definitely saw someone or something that no one else there saw and seemed to know who or what it was. Thawne maybe...?
