JUSTICE SOCIETY: WORLD WAR II Star Liam McIntyre On Possible Weather Wizard Return In THE FLASH - EXCLUSIVE

Talking to us about his role as Aquaman in Justice Society: World War II, actor Liam McIntyre chatted about a possible return as the villainous Weather Wizard in The CW's The Flash. Check it out!

Justice Society: World War II arrives on streaming platforms on April 27th, 2021, and hits 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray on May 11th, 2021. This next entry in the DC Animated Universe sees The Flash thrust into the midst of an epic battle between Golden Age DC Super Heroes the Justice Society and Nazis for an adventure which definitely doesn't play out the way you might be expecting.

One character who definitely defies expectations is Aquaman. Played by Spartacus and The Flash star Liam McIntyre, this is an exciting - not to mention badass - new take on the King of Atlantis.

Of course, having been part of the Scarlet Speedster's world on The CW, the actor is no stranger to the DC Universe. As the villainous Weather Wizard, McIntyre appeared in five episodes over three years, becoming a recurring threat to Barry Allen in the process.

The last time we saw him, Weather Wizard was behind bars in Iron Heights, so could we see more of in the series in the not too distant future?

"I keep hearing rumours. Every couple of years, I’ll hear, ‘We’re thinking about putting him in a storyline,’ and then every couple of years it happens, and then every other couple of years, it doesn’t!" McIntyre told us. "I was lucky enough to be on The Flash in those first couple of seasons, and for me, there’s something special about going back to it in the TV world. They’re such a lovely group of people, and I’m still friends with Danielle [Panabaker] and a lot of people there. It’s such a lovely set, and beyond the coolness of the character, and Weather Wizard is so much fun to play, it’s just like going home to your extended family, and they’re really nice people, so selfishly beyond the character, I like getting that call so I can check in with everyone and see how they’re doing."

So, the door is open, but nothing has been set in stone. It has to happen eventually (the Fastest Man Alive's first Rogue in the series was another Weather Wizard), but it's best to stay tuned for now!

I'll be honest, I prefer video interviews.....or at least audio interviews on stuff like this.

@CyberNigerian - Got a Daisy Ridley video interview coming next week. It's rare with phoners that you're allowed/able to use the audio.

Poor guy deserved a bigger career stateside than he got. But I guess voice acting is easy and steady money, can't blame the guy on that career move.

Still think he would have made a great live action Green Arrow for the DCEU

Wasn’t impressed by his character on the Flash.
I’d rather see Reverse Flash, Zoom or Gorilla Grodd return.

It's a shame they used most of Flash's best villains in one-off episodes, hopefully they can assemble The Rogues before the show is over.
