THE FLASH And SUPERGIRL Sing About Being "Super Friends" In First Musical Crossover Clip

Does The Flash have La La Land beat? Not exactly, but in this fun clip from Tuesday's episode of The CW series, The Fastest Man Alive has a fun duet with the Girl of Steel herself, Supergirl...

Before being cast as superheroes, Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist both appeared in Glee. They're no strangers to singing then and ever since fans learned that they would meet as The Flash and Supergirl, there's been speculation that we could see the duo burst into song on the small screen yet again. Well, thanks to the arrival of the villainous Music Meister, that looks set to happen in just a few days time.

Now, the first clip from the crossover has been released and it features the duo talking about being "Super Friends." Rachel Bloom (the co-creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) penned this tune, and it's definitely pretty catchy. Check it out in the player below and then let us know your thoughts on it.

DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Who the [frick] was speculating that and why would they? My God, CW. Way to jump the shark.

@BillMurray - Well, I wasn't exactly speculating that they do this. I actively wished for it. :)
