TITANS Executive Producer Says Starfire Will Have A Big Season As The Series Moves To HBO Max

As Titans moves from DC Universe to HBO Max for its third season, executive producer Greg Walker says Anna Diop's Starfire will have a big season thanks to the arrival of her sister, Blackfire.

When asked if the third season of Titans would visit Starfire's homeworld Tamaran, Greg Walker declined to give an exact answer, but did state that Anna Diop's Koriand'r / Kory Anders would play a big role this season.

"We’re planning a big season for Kory this year. The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire. Plus, we have a few other surprises in store for hardcore Starfire fans this season.

Sounds as if fans might get to see the Titans' version of Starfire finally resemble her comic book counterpart in the show's third season. Thanks to amnesia, the Tamaranian princess Koriand'r was living a mysterious life on earth as Kory Anders. However, it seems the arrival of her sister Blackfire (portrayed by Damaris Lewis) will set Starfire down the road to recovering her memories.

Titans is currently without  a premiere date for season 3 as COVID-19 has delayed filming. It was originally slated to premiere during the 4Q 2020 before pandemic-related delays ensued. Production is currently scheduled to conclude in June 2021, making a 4Q 2021 HBO Max debut for Titans likely.

The third season is set to introduce Red Hood, Jonathan Crane, and Barbara Gordon.

@DARKSIDEIS - She's one of the best characters. I loved her in the pilot episode. But then the show got silly.

Glad three years in the TV show Titans will focus on, you know, the Titans

Of course her sister is called Blackfire.😂 Sort of a funny coincidence, because of the casting choice. I wanna see more of Kory & a less brooding Dick Grayson, together. After they hooked up, their relationship kinda stalled.

Well, it better have some heavy social justice subplots, or I'm going to scream at the sky... when I see someone with a camera.

I hope I get to see Tamaran and that they make Dick Grayson and Starfire an official couple! Considering they had a one-night stand along with having a fling in Season 1 and then appear to be just friends in Season 2!

i actually like this show for what it is, and imo it has done an ok job with testing the waters for these characters' cinematic potential while the movie side of things are still in flux and pandering to DCEU fans. so idgaf anymore that they introduce a new character every ep despite not resolving previous plots.

its no doom patrol but still more digestible than the CW shows to me. only problem i got is that they're 0/2 for season finales

Really wish the whole season just focused on Dick, Gar, Raven and Kori with Blackfire as villain. Bringing in Red Hood (way too soon), Barbara and Crane only makes it feel more like the Nightwing show.

But since they're introducing characters left and right, I hope we get to Wally West, Roy Harper and Cassie Sandsmark. I feel like they can replace Hawk, Dove and Rose, since they aren't that interesing anymore.

@bkmeijer - TBF Crane could just be a side villain. We have no idea how involved those Bat characters are and they could play small roles in only a few episodes. Jason certainly hasn't had a huge presence on the show thus far.

@Nightwing1015 - yeah, thats true. Still, Titans so far hasn't used it's side characters to its full potential (unlile Doom Patrol in my opinion) so I'm not overly eager to see them.

Meh...
Love Anna Diop but these f*ckers just can't afford the kinda cosmic storyline her character deserves.

They can barely show-off with Superboy ffs...

kind of obvious considering how season 2 ended. Starfire never got a season on the animated series, so hopefully its a good story

I mean I would hope so seeing as how her sister is the main villain of the season
