WANDAVISION Star Elizabeth Olsen Debunks Rumors She's Set To Star In HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Season 2

A rumor recently did the rounds claiming that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Elizabeth Olsen was being eyed for a role in House of the Dragon, but the actress has now debunked the report.

You may have noticed some chatter online that Henry Cavill (Justice League) and Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision) are being eyed for key roles in House of the Dragon season 2. That would be quite the change of pace for the Game of Thrones franchise as it has typically made stars out of its impressive cast rather than hiring Hollywood A-Listers.

There's been a lot of excitement surrounding the possibility of Cavill and Olsen taking a trip to Westeros, anyway, but a recent interview was the first time the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star had heard about it.

Talking in the video below (via SFFGazette.com), Olsen admits that she auditioned for the role of Daenerys Targaryen once upon a time and was then asked outright if she would be open to starring in House of the Dragon"Yeah, I mean, sure. But like, I don't know how rumors like that get started and people think they're legitimate."

"Dreamcasting is fun, yeah. I heard that it was, like, announced though, which is weirder. From someone with a blue check, I heard, when I did my Variety interview for tonight."

Adding that she's "never heard of such a thing" when it comes to her being cast in season 2 of the HBO series, Olsen went on to say the following when asked if she does have any interest in the possibility: "Sure, I mean, anything that's worth telling, that's a good story, that's innovative, that's great characters, and yeah, sure."

So, the actress is clearly open to the idea, but we probably shouldn't bank on it happening. House of the Dragon isn't expected to return to HBO until 2024, and with Olsen busy with other projects - including starring as the Scarlet Witch in the MCU - we wouldn't bet on her having time to add the Game of Thrones franchise to her already impressive list of credits

I did wonder, Liz and Henry are quite big gets.

But given the very quick succession in which House of the Dragon dispatches of actors and actresses I wouldn't be surprised if they did star for like 6 episodes as aged up characters in a new generation of Targaryens

I remember when Paul Rudd looked a reporter in the face and repeatedly said not true hadn’t heard anything 5 times in a 45 second interview that he wasn’t playing Ant-Man in a Marvel movie.

She’s in it.
