WandaVision ended with Wanda Maximoff becoming the Scarlet Witch. While a post-credits scene teased the Avenger heading down a dark path, we definitely didn't anticipate her breaking bad in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Essentially a full-blown villain, the Scarlet Witch murdered Earth-838's Illuminati in an effort to regain the children she lost in Westview and ultimately made what appeared to be the ultimate sacrifice after seeing the error of her ways. Fans noticed a flash of red light before that tower collapsed, of course, suggesting Wanda teleported away before being buried alive.

Talking at SXSW to promote HBO Max's Love & Death, Elizabeth Olsen shared her hopes for the Scarlet Witch in the MCU moving forward.

"We can do anything with her now! I feel like we've done so much. Now, we can really have fun; I feel like there's a lot more humor to be had with her," the actress said, clearly keen to move away from that dark path. "She's often the emotion of a story, and I'm curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption."

In a separate interview, Olsen was asked about possibly reprising the role in Disney+'s Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

"I don't know ever how to answer these questions, except I don't...I think I’ll be back," she said, seemingly confirming plans to reunite with Kathryn Hahn in the show.

Given her knowledge of the Multiverse and the fact the Scarlet Witch is a legit powerhouse, we're sure she'll be key in the upcoming battle against Kang's Variants. There are those who believe he even authored the Darkhold in an effort to take Wanda off the board, but whatever the case may be, the character definitely needs to find redemption.

What are your hopes for the Scarlet Witch in the MCU?

The only way she could be somewhat redeemed would be if she dies fighting Kang.

Homegirl is a domestic terrorist so she ain’t ever coming back to the Avengers long term unless Marvel truly jumps the shark.

Give her a redemption arc through Agatha, acknowledging her crimes, pin it on Agatha and that naughty book and bring her in to the light. The Avengers can't afford to lose another credible member. We need Wanda front and centre alongside Strange, Thor, Vision, (Angry) Hulk and Spider-Man. Otherwise it'll be a B list of heroes and wannabes.

I'm honestly fine with here not showing up for a while. Could be interesting if the first time we see her, it is at Magneto's side.

But she's probably gonna show up in Kang Dynasty, since she is (together with Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Ant-Man) responsible for messing with the multiverse.

Meh, she’s spent more time in the universe as a villain than she had a hero at this point. Would prefer her to stay in the grey, help if it’s advantageous to her but otherwise she’s not with the main heroes.

More than likely her redemption will be in Secret Wars when the One Above All or Living Tribunal tells her that only see can mold this new universe. And she uses all of her power to seperate Battleworld and form the New MCU continuity

Lets not forget; we'll never know what she sacrificed

Feeling these writers lack the skill for a proper redemption arc given she was given a pass twice, but I like Olsen as Wanda so I'd be happy to see her back
