According to The Hollywood Reporter, Golden Globe nominated actor Blair Underwood has been added to the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will start shooting this week. He won't show up on screen until March (!), but is set to have a recurring role as the estranged ex-husband of Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen). For those of you wondering, the character is named Dr. Andrew Garner and doesn't appear to be based on anyone in particular from the comic books. Underwood has a lot of small screen credits, and they include Ironside and The Event among others. How do you guys feel about him joining the show?
