The news that Ghost Rider will have a central role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season four was met with a mixed response, but mostly because a lot of fans were hoping that the Spirit of Vengeance would get his own series on Netflix rather than a starring role in The Avengers spinoff. However, after checking out this first look at the fiery hero, you may just find yourself fully on board with Marvel's decision.

That's definitely Ghost Rider, though it seems as if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has gone for a mix between the classic and new version of the his appearance. He has the wider jaw and the skull has a metallic sheen, but he doesn't look quite the same as Robbie Reyes does in the source material. That's not the end of the world though, especially as the ABC series has arguably found the best of both worlds here.

What do you think of this first official image of Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season four?
