AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: Come Get Your First Look At *SPOILER* As Madame Hydra
It may be April Fools' Day, but this is no joking matter. Madame Hydra is coming to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and she's making her grand debut this Tuesday! Come get your first look now!
You've known her as both Aida, the Life Model Decoy created by Dr. Radcliffe, and as Agnes Kitsworth, Radcliffe's former lady love, but this Tuesday, prepare to see Mallory Jansen like you've never seen her before as she suits up as classic Avengers & X-Men villainess Madame Hydra.
In a statement given to Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen elaborated on the shocking revelation and her role in the second half of this ongoing fourth season. “Since we’re bringing back Hydra in the Framework, we thought we’d bring it back with a force to be reckoned with, Madame Hydra is a villain with the perfect combo of strength, sexy, and scary. We’ve thrown many challenges Mallory’s way and she’s always up for the task. We’re excited for fans to see how she makes Madame Hydra come to life.”
As previously stated, Jensen will make her debut as Madame Hydra in the upcoming midseason premiere, which airs April 4th. The episode was screened earlier today at WonderCon and with the cat out of the bag, EW has officially released a first look photo of Jensen in costume. Check it out below:
The character has previously made a live-action appearance, in 2013's The Wolverine where she was played by Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova and went by her more popular alias Viper. It was assumed that the character was owned by entirely by 20th Century Fox, as part of their X-Men rights, but it appears as though the two studios might be sharing the character to some extent, similar to what was done with Quicksilver. Another simpler explanation is that they just might using a lesser-known iteration of Madame Hydra or creating their own.
On a separate note, while a renewal seems uncertain at best, Whedon is approaching the upcoming end of season four as a season finale, not a series finale, so take from that what you will. "We are going to make it a thrilling end regardless, but we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon."
So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

"What If... " - Hail the New World Order! Daisy and Simmons uncover secrets and lies in a world gone mad. With Hydra in control, they are our only hope to save everyone, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, APRIL 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.
In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director (Jason O’Mara) to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack (Henry Simmons), and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. They have been trying to track down and capture Daisy (Chloe Bennet), aka Quake, who has gone rogue in an attempt to atone for sins from the past. But with the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new Director has no qualms about taking her down for good. Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) have taken a big step forward in their relationship. But with Simmons’ new promotion as Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology, Fitz, as well as her former team members, finds it hard to confide in or trust her since she’s now the Director’s confidant.
