Cameras are rolling on Daredevil: Born Again in New York City and that means we're getting a steady stream of set photos from the Disney+ series.
While Charlie Cox has yet to don the Man Without Fear's costume in front of the waiting paparazzi, he has been seen in his lawyer get up. Yesterday, we shared photos of the actor standing in front of a church bulletin board dated "March 15, 2020," apparent confirmation Daredevil: Born Again will take place during The Blip.
Thanos snapped his fingers in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War before those he wiped from existence were brought back in 2023.
That five-year period has only really been explored on a surface level by Marvel Studios, so there was quite a bit of excitement for Daredevil: Born Again to delve into that time. Heck, it might even go some way in explaining the apparent absence of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).
However, one eagle-eyed fan has done some digging and discovered that a Google Maps Street View image captured in August 2021 shows the same bulletin board...with the exact same 2020 date!
The building owner simply hasn't updated it, meaning this isn't a prop used by Marvel Studios. It's just a sign in the background we'll either barely be able to see or, if we do, it will probably be changed with a minor VFX touch-up in post-production.
Hawkeye brought The Kingpin into the MCU and ended with him being gunned down by Echo. With both Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock expected to appear in Maya Lopez's upcoming TV series, common sense said from the start that this show would pick up where those two left off.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to hit Disney+ sometime in 2024.
