Matt Murdock has had many love interests over the years, so we're not exactly surprised to see Marvel Studios move on from Karen Page.
Now, a new rumour claims Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will romance Heather Glenn in the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. The character hasn't previously appeared in the MCU, though you'd be forgiven for thinking so after seeing the "Marvel Cinematic Universe Fanon Wiki" (which, as the name suggests, is a Wiki devoted to fan fiction).
Regardless, scooper Daniel Richtman believes Margarita Levieva will play Heather in the upcoming revival, serving as Matt's girlfriend in the series.
In the comic books, Heather's history is a little more complicated. Matt romanced the socialite but later learned her father was involved in a criminal conspiracy. In reality, he was secretly under the control of Purple Man and despite Daredevil's best efforts to clear Maxwell's name, he took his own life.
Heather had a drinking problem and Matt ultimately called their romance off. A combination of that and learning Matt was secretly Daredevil ultimately led to the hero's former flame committing suicide as well.
How much, if any, of this Marvel Studios will tackle remains to be seen but Heather should make for an intriguing addition to the series. Will we learn what became of Karen and see Elektra? Only time will tell but the latter is surely a must for the MCU.
Elodie Yung has previously hinted she'll reprise the latter role, a must after Marvel Television dropped the ball with the character in The Defenders.
Daredevil: Born Again is still expected to premiere on Disney+ next year.
