DAREDEVIL Season 2 Rumored To Debut Same Day As BATMAN V SUPERMAN

Could Marvel be looking to take a bite out of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's opening-weekend box office? A new rumor would have comic book fans deciding between watching Daredevil, Punisher and Elektra or Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on March 25th.

Previously slated to debut in March via Entertainment Weekly, we now have a rumor on the exact date, Charlie Cox's sophomore outing as Matt Murdock will be arriving in our Netflix que.   On March 25th, you may very well have to decide whether to stay in and stream Daredevil season 2 or venture out into the cold to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Weather most likely play a factor in warmer climates but the Midwest and Northeastern parts of the United States can be pretty cold in late March.  In the long-run, this release will likely not effect Batman v Superman's final box office haul but it could impact the film's opening weekend gross.

Keep this pegged as a rumor for now as we still don't have an official trailer for Daredevil season 2.  However, Marvel and Warner Bros. do have something of a history when it comes to competing for release dates.

LOL! I hope it does.........it will not matter. Only the Marvelites would spend the whole day watching DD.

That being said it will not effect either the movie or the show at all. The show will always be there to for people to watch since it is on Netflix.

I don't think it will affect it. These are two different mediums. Anyone who has Netflix can just choose to watch Daredevil at a later time, it isn't going anywhere, or vice versa. They wouldn't have to compensate any money because if you watch Daredevil then chances are you already have a Netflix account and pay for it, so choosing between the two would just be a matte rof time placement. I could only see this being a problem if both of them were movies.

Crazy part on Netflix and Disney. I'll be watching BvS and more than likely watch Daredevil the next day instead. So it isn't that long until I get around to seeing the new season, but it still is crazy to think Disney would want it to come out the same day.

@Nomis

I assume they count the number of members streaming the show..........after that I am not sure how they conclude if it was a success or not.

Awesome! I'll go see BvS (even though that last trailer makes me feel like I've already seen the whole movie) and then I'll come home and start streaming DD!! We all win!

I assume they can get the results right away since it is all on the cloud and it should be real time data flowing in. Though they may wait a day or two to add up all the numbers.

@Nomis

Netflix numbers are little weirder to calculate since their shows are always available. This article helps a little bit. 11 days after the show premiered it had an average of 4.4 million viewers.

Stay Classy Marvel. But seriously, a Netflix TV show isn't going to effect shit. I'll just go to the movies and then come home and watch this.

It's not really a competition. It's a show against a movie. Plus the thing with Netflix is to watch whenever you want, like after getting back from the movies after seeing BvS...
Anyway I personally don't have this "dilemma" since in my country BvS will be released on March 23...
