DAREDEVIL Star Jon Bernthal Weighs In On Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man' And 'The Punisher''s Best Scene

Jon Bernthal talks here about Tom Holland taking on the role of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and reveals his favourite scene as The Punisher from Daredevil season two (hint: it's yours too).

Jon Bernthal recently made an appearance at the Emerald City Comi-Con in Seattle, and considering the fact that he landed the role of The Punisher by sending Marvel an audition tape of him reading scenes with Captain America: Civil War star Tom Holland, it should come as no surprise to learn that the actor was quickly asked about how he sees the youngster faring in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I've got to work with some wonderful people in this business, but as a young man, he is so wise, so genuine," Bernthal said. "He comes from a good family. He's a good, kind, unbelievably hard-working blue collar actor I think he's going to crush it on that part." Will we ever get to see Spider-Man and The Punisher on the big screen together? Here's hoping!

Regardless, talk then turned to his favourite scene as Frank Castle in season two of Daredevil, and it was the same one the rest of us have been raving about. "Whupping people's ass in the prison," he exclaimed before adding: "The problem is schedule. You're against the clock all the time in television. You got to get it right. That stunt team, they're one of the best fight teams in the world. They're super-ambitious, we go for it -- it's an honor to roll with those guys." Despite the fact that The Punisher won't be making an appearance in Captain America: Civil War, fans in attendence still wanted to know whether he's Team Cap or Team Iron Man. So, whose side is the actor on? "Team Spider-Man." I think it's fair to say that's the correct answer, right?

The fact that he can do action like the prison massacre and drama like the graveyard scene speaks volumes for his acting range.

@PietroJaximoff - For real man. Punisher stole the entire show. My favorite Comic Book character of the year thus far.

@hufflepuff69 - I keep saying it. Do "The Death of Jean DeWolff" on Daredevil. Get all three of them in on it.

I'd love to see Bernthal's Punisher meet Evan's Cap; needs to be done, admittedly can't see how in the current context the two would come into contact but it's needs to happen.

@A2K - I wish they could come together like they did in Civil War. Cap straight puts his ass in his place.

@A2K - Frank is a huge Captain America fanboy (like most people in the army), so I'd love to see that happen.
Too bad it's never going to ;_; come on Disney! Make Feige connect the tv shows and the movies already!

@PietroJaximoff - That was a great scene, Punisher doesn't even fight back cause Cap is a higher ranking soldier than he is or something like that if I recall.

While the prison fight scene was epic. My favorite scene is still that speech in the graveyard in episode 4.
