We assumed The Falcon and The Winter Solider must have rounded out its cast a while ago, but THR is now reporting on a late addition to the upcoming Disney+ show's ensemble.
Up-and-comer Danny Ramirez (The Gifted, On My Block) will join Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) in the Marvel series, which is set to take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Ramirez's character is being kept under wraps, but he is expected to play a "pivotal role" (it's speculation time!).
Ramirez will also appear in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick. Past feature credits include Assassination Nation and Valley Girl.
Production on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recently resumed in the Czech Republic after being hit with numerous delays thanks to the ongoing pandemic, but we're still no closer to finding out when it's expected to premiere on Disney+. The trade has confirmed that it was originally scheduled for August, but it's now looking likely that the studio has decided to push the show into 2021.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has Kari Skogland on directing duties, and will also see Emily VanCamp and Daniel Brühl reprise their roles as Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo.
Any guesses as to who Ramirez might be playing? Drop us a comment down below.
