HAWKEYE: Disney Officially Releases New Holiday-Themed Banner; Fan-Poster Spotlights Clint & Kate As Ronin

Disney+ has released an official version of the Holiday-themed banner that was utilized for the third episode of Hawkeye, while an awesome fan-made poster combines both incarnations of Ronin.

This week's episode of Hawkeye was notable for the (possible) return of a certain larger-than-life villain, but it also gave us a first look at a new Holiday-themed banner featuring Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) suited-up in their matching costumes.

Disney+ has now released an official version of the banner, and we also have a pretty cool new fan-made poster from @elilusionistacl featuring a split-screen image of Clint and Kate's in the Ronin suit.

Barton operated as the ruthless vigilante between the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and his actions came back to haunt him when the daughter of one of the criminals he murdered sought revenge in "Echoes." Bishop only wore the suit briefly when she swiped in from the black market auction in the first episode, but as far as the Tracksuit Mafia - and likely every other criminal in the city - is concerned, she is and always has been Ronin.

Next week's episode is sure to be an eventful one, as Clint and Kate sit down for a nice little chat with Eleanor Bishop and Jack Duquesne. There are also rumblings that Vincent D'Onofrio will make his formidable presence felt as "Uncle" Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin, but that's yet to be confirmed.

Have you guys been enjoying Hawkeye so far? Be sure to let us know in the usual place.

Two really good parts of episode 3 is when Clint acknowledges that he’s no role model and how Kate helps him communicate with his son over the phone. That leading to his son fully accepting Clint not making it home for Christmas really hit. His family sadly understands that might will never fully have all of him.

Just watched the third episode and I totally loved it. The best one so far. Never thought I'd enjoy Hawkeye so much. Hopefully, there will be a second season.

@giannis - as someone who's also enjoying it, let's not ask for a season 2 just yet. We're like half way through. They could f@#$ it all up by the end.

Something I'm wondering is if this movie will end up being a holiday tradition like what marvel is clearly hoping for. I've kind of been going back and forth on this. On one hand, it's a series instead of a movie which may turn people off from watching it over the holidays in place of family time. On the other, it could be kind of a background type thing, where you just let the season play while everyone celebrates then sit down and watch when people are just kinda hanging out.

Then there's the parallel to die hard and how that became a Christmas tradition. But then again, that just used Christmas as set dressing whereas Hawkeye has the plot revolve around the holiday. And they REALLY want us to associate it with Christmas.

I'm not denying marvel fans would rewatch it over the holidays, but what do you guys think about the show from the general audience perspective? Honestly I think it's kinda interesting to think about with all the Christmas specials made every year vs what sticks as established parts of the holiday.

Gang I still haven’t started this show cuz I have been working mandatory 60 weeks and life shit, but I’m HYPED to see three episodes in a row. Is it as awesome as everyone’s making it sound?

Does Kate have brown eyes in the show? To me it looked like she had blue contacts in. If so the poster needs some rework.

@ElvenKingSlayer - I noticed the contacts too.

***SPOILER***

It probably wasn't Clint in the Ronin suit in Echoe's backstory/flashback

@Waddles - Have Kingpin be the one to send him, and then have Echo team up with Daredevil in her series to go after Kingpin

Ep 1-2 were balls
Ep 3 has promise.

Why is the show edited/directed so choppily?
And why is the mother such a bad actress?

@Waddles - note to self: disregard all HulkIsHorny feedback going forward, citing this statement as reason.

@Waddles -

I don’t think she’s a bad actress in other stuff but she just delivers her lines so weirdly and stiff.

I mean, Hailey is a great actress and even the show manages to wreck her performance a bit as well.

Perhaps it’s just the editing whose screwing up their performances.

I like the poster, but it's odd that they used Hailee Steinfeld's real eye color when they decided on the blue contacts for the show.

@Hawkguy - I think that poster is fanmade

@ElvenKingSlayer - Thank you, I completely missed that. Looks exactly like the kind of poster they'd make for one of these shows.

I love this show.

I'm still waiting for the conversation when Kate tells Clint why she idolizes him.

He needs to be reminded that he helped save a f#ckton of lives and "is" a positive role model. His Ronin days does NOT take away from everything he did before then.
