Stuntman/actor Ray Park talks about taking on the role of Iron Fist in the planned feature film based on the Marvel Comic in the next issue of Star Wars magazine.

Parks reveals that, just like in the comic, Rand grew up with mystical Asian monks, and gets his superpowers through the ability to control his chi, his body energy, into his fist, according to the magazine. He adds that although he hadn’t read the comic, his father had, and he’s looking forward to the challenge of playing his first superhero since Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’s Darth Maul and X-Men’s Toad.

Big Hit director Kirk Wong is reportedly directing although Steve Carr had been previously mentioned as helmer.
