That Hashtag Show (via MCU Exchange) is back with another batch of character breakdowns, this time for the upcoming second season of Marvel and Netflix's Jessica Jones.

Though their true identities are concealed behind codenames, based on the fact that these casting calls usually use the real first letter of the character's name, the guys over at That Hashtag Show have made a few educated guesses.

First, here are the coded descriptions:

[DR. KIRBY] 60s, male, open ethnicity, scientist & freethinker SERIES REGULAR – ONE YEAR DEAL

[PRESLEY] Late 30s, Male, African American, intelligent, driven, self-assured FRACTIONAL SERIES REGULAR

[OLIVER] 34-38, male, Latino, artistic, paternal, smart, scruffy and hip SERIES REGULAR

[INGRID] Early-mid 30s, 5’8 – 5’11, female, dark hair, attractive and edgy, has a history of living on the streets. Educated as a nurse, but street-wise. She is attracted to men and women…SERIES REGULAR

Okay, so speculation points to Kirby being the villainous Dr. Karl Malus, who may be responsible for developing the serum that gave Nuke (and possible Jessica, too) superpowers. Then there's Presley, who could wind up being womanizing mercenary Paladin/Paul Denning.

Because of his ties to Misty Knight and Colleen Wing in the comics, there's a chance (albeit a small one) that Oliver is actually Otis Johnson, and they reckon Ingrid could be either Ian Soo - a bisexual character that was recently introduced in the pages of Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat!, or, Daredevil baddie Typhoid Mary.

That last one definitely sounds more like wishful thinking, but hey, you never know!

What do you guys think? Do you have your own ideas based on this info? Sound off below.

I really hope these are accurate because I'm desperate for some craziness in season 2. Typhoid Mary would work VERY well in the context of Jessica's story, and having Paladin in there, an Oscar Winning actress as a possible lead villain AND Nuke returning, with Hellcat possibly being a thing? And I can't stress this enough, if they reduced the episode count to 10 or 8, this would really make it a more exciting, bombastic season.

@ScarletWarlock - What do you think of having Battlestar as "Presley" instead of Paladin? I think it would be cool if the IGH program was involved with the Power Broker and Battlestar was a heroic subversive of the program.

@TheRose - Wasn't too familiar with the character so I had to research a bit. I honestly wouldn't mind it, just so long as they do something somewhat comic booky and exciting moving forward. Though I think Paladin works a little better in the show's favor, but I would like the two to show up, we need as many as we can get as far as I'm concerned.

Interesting descriptions. This is the good thing of adapting IMO "lesser" properties like JJ, you get to find out more about "new" characters that you didn't know before.

I'm mostly curious about this Karl Malus. Even though the article teases Typhoid Mary. I must be weird. =P

They should save Typhoid Mary for Daredevil.

TBH I think at least a few of these are wild guess.. but it would be awesome if Paladin and Mary were introduced.

@RorMachine - I really want Typhoid in a film, but I feel she would be better used in Deadpool.

@Lostcause - If Fox doesn't have the rights then it doesn't matter where it works better

Typhoid should be the villain. Fingers crossed she is.

She's a mentally fractured and unstable soul. She'll fit right into the psychological thriller that is the show. Kilgrave proved Jessica is easily susceptible to mind games and I can only imagine Typhoid Mary advancing that and bringing new depths to it.

All those [frick]ed up personalities

Depending on if they cast an actor as good as David Tennant was as Purple Man, Typhoid Mary would definitely be a solid villain choice for JJ. She's just not as interesting to me as a character as Daredevil is. I will admit, I never read Alias before the Netflix series, but quite enjoyed the show (mostly because of Kilgrave).
