LOKI: New Details About Plans For Jonathan Majors' Kang (Including How Many Episodes He'll Appear In)

WARNING: Spoilers For Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania follow!

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene, we see Loki and Mobius attending a presentation on time by a Kang Variant, Victor Timely, in the early 1900s.

The stinger served as a tease for Loki season 2, and comic book fans will know that Victor was a Kang Variant who was stranded in the past and used his knowledge of the future to shape that world (inadvertently creating the technologically advanced Marvel Universe as we know it). Whether Marvel Studios will head down that route remains to be seen.

According to The Cosmic Circus, Jonathan Majors looks set to have a sizeable role in Loki, with the actor reportedly appearing in at least three episodes.

It sounds like we'll spend time with more than one Kang, with Loki and Mobius travelling across different timelines in search of the villain's many Variants in an effort to "map out and see the extent of their control across time."

However, those of you hoping to catch up with Immortus, Rama-Tut, and the Council of Kangs may be disappointed as they're "unlikely" to appear. It's noted that they are going to be mentioned and referenced throughout the season due to the fact the Time-Keepers story the TVA was founded on is based on their existence.

While Loki season 2 is bound to go some way in setting the stage for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the site expects the show's Kang Variants to be lesser-known characters, with Mister Gryphon a likely possibility.

Qeng Tower was spotted in The Void during Loki's first season and there have long been theories that he might be the mysterious Benefactor from Ant-Man and The Wasp (making him Earth-616's Kang). We'll see, but fingers crossed that the show can clear up some of the many questions we have.

Loki season 2 doesn't have a premiere date yet, so stay tuned for updates.

@marvel72 - it's not as people been saying, bro. No comparison with Eternals or L&T.

Crazy to think that a Kang variant could be chilling in the 616. Would love to see Scott run into him for his reaction. Lol

I find it funny how they’ve introduced Kang and he’s immediately as ridiculous and confusing as the comic version lol

@ShimmyShimmyYA - cause it's his core.

I'm hoping they show Kang is responsible for all sorts of crazy shit that happened in the MCU past.

@Fogs - I don't wanna see that to be honest. We already sorta got that with He Who Remains

@bkmeijer1 - I just want to know - is quantumania kang a younger version of HWR like he started out pruning timelines himself pre TVA or do we now have 2 kangs who were trying to take out the rest to stop their conquest
Fogs
Fogs - 2/20/2023, 3:33 PM
@bkmeijer1 - how's that? The only thinghewas avoiding was a Conqueror timeline being generated.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - it's hard to tell, just like in the comics. The idea is Kang is everybody before becoming He Who Remains. But not even in the comics this is 100% stablished. They can simply be multiversal entities as well.

@Fogs - just responding to both of your replies here but yeah it’s fascinating (sarcasm) that comic stuff still is ridiculous outside of comics and this is what people asked for.

Also yeah so it could be either situation or a combination of both, love it

@ShimmyShimmyYA - could be, but I don't think so. Think these are seperate versions from the multiverse, like the Spider-Men in No Way Home

@Fogs - exactly because of that. Technically HWR didn't influence the MCU-616's events, but he was responsible in a sense that only the things we saw happening were allowed to happen.

It was because of that these MCU-616 events made up the timeline, and not other events like Loki being a woman.

I'm guessing we'll see Victor Timely and whatever version of Kang the statue from episode 6 was from. Gryphon would be fun too, but I rather see him in Fantastic Four.

This movie needed more time, ironically enough. The cgi wasn't finished, and the "plot" felt formula and predictable. It was a boring, embarrassingly sloppy film.

I still can't believe this dude directed the finale of season 2 of the Mandalorian, aka the only GREAT thing he's ever made. All the Ant Man films just miss the mark for me.

And how the [frick] we gonna have an ANT MAN movie without Luis? This movie was trash!

Man. I really like Paul Rudd. I also think Majors is a great actor. I have had a crush on Michelle Pfeiffer for years, Bill Murray is one of my favorites, and Michael Douglas is a G.O.A.T in his own right.

So why the hell did I almost fall asleep watching this thing? They made a "Journey to the center of the Earth/Star Wars type flick and I was bored. It's up to you now A-Holes of the Galaxy. Because I'm rapidly losing interest in the MCU

I had a revelation last night that the benefactor could be Kang. The realization actually kept me up! But I see it's been a theory for some time.
