All the signs appear to be pointing to Marvel Studios launching some sort of Young Avengers project. Whether that's a movie or TV series remains to be seen, but with characters like Wiccan, Speed, Eli Bradley, Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), America Chavez, and Ms. Marvel all part of the MCU (or soon will be), it's impossible to escape the feeling that something might be brewing.
Kid Loki also has a history with the team, of course, and part of the reason he gained such a massive fan following is down to his time serving as a member of one Earth's (young) Mightiest Heroes.
When we recently spoke to Loki star Jack Veal, we asked if he'd be interested in reprising the role of Kid Loki alongside the MCU's other Young Avengers. "It has already been such an amazing journey and I never expected to get this far," the actor admitted. "To make a step like that would be so surreal. I would love to do something as great as that, but as of now I haven't heard anything of The Young Avengers from Marvel."
So, it's a "wait and see" situation, but Jack would clearly be on board with being part of such a project.
You can't blame him, and when we pointed out that the Kid Loki and Alligator Loki Variants are very much on their own after Boastful Loki's betrayal and Classic Loki's sacrifice, the actor pondered what could be next for his God of Mischief in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"I don't know where Kid Loki is going or if it is going anywhere, but what I do know is that Kid Loki is such an intricate and complex character (after him killing Thor especially) that an exploration of his backstory and what he does going forward would be awesome to see."
With a second season of Loki now confirmed, here's hoping the actor is given the chance to return!
We'll have more to share with you from Jack soon, and you can read the full interview here tomorrow. In the meantime, make sure to check him out on Instagram @jack_anthony_veal!
