Season 2 of Netflix and Marvel’s Luke Cage is nearly here, and while a lot of attention has been given to the team-up between Cage and The Immortal Iron Fist, a new clip reminds us there’s another exciting superhero duo to look forward to—Colleen Wing and Misty Knight.

The clip released by Netflix begins with The Daughters of the Dragon having a quiet moment at a bar, before Misty is accosted by an unhappy customer, who happens to have a connection to the former detective. From there, a bar brawl ensues, which also sees Misty deal with the loss of her arm before she receives her new bionic one seen in the trailers.

All in all, the exciting clip doesn’t reveal much in terms of plot points, but it does highlight one of the reasons why so many fans have grown attached to these two characters.

Luke Cage returns to Netflix for a second season on June 22.

I think season 2 might just turn out fine. Heroes for hire and daughters of the dragon. Although the choice of music doesn't fit this scene really well

When did Misty get that good at fighting? Nothing in the other shows she was in indicated any sort of serious combat training and she's fighting with one less arm. I get that it's something with the comics, but you still need to establish this stuff better. I'd even buy this more if it wasn't for the fact she's fighting like this with only one arm.

@Origame - I'm sure she was trained by Colleen.

@Canary - But it's clear that Colleen knows Misty is getting a new arm. So why bother training her to fight with only one hand when that isn't a very effective way to handle fighting and that she's going to get a hand that will no doubt work different then her natural hand and would require training to compensate? I mean, I know I'm talking from the perspective of someone who really gets into fighting, but it's still a waste of time when everyone knows she's getting a new arm, just as that bit of common sense.

@Origame - *beautiful women from a comic book adaptation kicking ass*

Origami : question it

Origame - 6/4/2018, 12:59 PM
@Ditchedonearth - Dude I have no problem with women kicking ass. What I have an issue with is a character suddenly showing skills they never had before. If this was Foggy from Daredevil suddenly taking out a room full of guys, I'd complain about that too. Get out of here with that. Not everything has to be about sexism.

Ditchedonearth - 6/4/2018, 1:17 PM
@Origame - no one said anything about sexism. My reply was about needless complaints. I'd love to see Foggy kick ass with no explanation. Get out of here with your griping and moaning lol
Origame
Origame - 6/4/2018, 2:01 PM
@Ditchedonearth - Well you'd be the only one loving to see the relatively unathletic Foggy suddenly capable of taking out a room with no explanation. And you were even directly commenting about how it's about women and that I shouldn't complain. It's so clear that you were talking about sexism. Get over yourself.

@Origame - lol I also said "beautiful" and "comic adaptation". But we all see which topic you have a focus on. Y'all perfectionists whine A LOT.

Misty is a comic book character. A cop. From Harlem. Yet your focusing on how she learned to fight? How about question the lack of fighting skills from random character thugs we know nothing about? Griping and complaining never goes very far kid

Origame - 6/5/2018, 2:21 AM
@Ditchedonearth - First of all, "beautiful"? I didn't focus on that because it has nothing to do with anything. Yeah, they're beautiful. Let's move on. Second, let's talk about it being a comic adaptation is. You DO realize comics explain how characters got to be that powerful or good at fighting ALL THE TIME, right? This is such a stupid question. Third, this was clearly meant to showcase Misty's skill. The scenes stucture is why they lack skill. They are up against someone who has plenty. So my question remains you SJW wannabe. Why is she suddenly so skilled?

@Origame - she's a beautiful comic book character. It doesn't matter. Enjoy yourself. Lol
Origame
Origame - 6/5/2018, 9:26 AM
@Ditchedonearth - Yeah. Specifically commenting on how this is a beautiful woman when addressing my complaint about no explanation for a sudden skill that would have been useful in other shows, and it had nothing to do with gender politics. Get over yourself.

Ditchedonearth - 6/5/2018, 1:29 PM
@Origame - you're chasing your tail at this point. Keep going though. I'm enjoying the show
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/5/2018, 1:32 PM
@Origame - and Foggy Isn't athletic?! Haven't you seen Mighty Ducks? Ridiculous.
Origame
Origame - 6/5/2018, 1:51 PM
@Ditchedonearth - First of all, I don't even need to worry about anything here. You dug yourself in a pretty deep hole already. Second, that Mighty Ducks line was such an idiotic addition to this argument.
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/5/2018, 6:39 PM
@Origame -
*beatiful one armed comic book woman of color can fight well*

Me: enjoy yourself

Origame: *triggered*
Origame
Origame - 6/5/2018, 6:44 PM
@Ditchedonearth - I'm not triggered by this. I'm just stating my opinion that it makes no sense given not only her obvious disability that would definitely get in the way of fighting but the fact she hasn't been shown to be that capable of a fighter to begin with. If anything, I'm triggered by YOU, the awful person who can't take any sort of criticism on a work of fiction without having to make it something about gender politics. What's sad is that you are even ashamed of what you're fighting for as you keep denying that that's what your arguing for yet keep arguing for it. Learn how to treat people who are simply expressing opinions and get a life.
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/5/2018, 7:52 PM
@Origame - you're opinion is a moan and groan. Simple. It's laughable.
Origame
Origame - 6/6/2018, 1:19 AM
@Ditchedonearth - Yeah. It's laughable to expect logic in shows that are designed to be grounded. But heck, why stop here? Let's just randomly turn Spider-Man into the Hulk. Cap will get an Iron Man suit (while pointing out there was no way he could get one from Tony). How's about Batman shooting webs? And now the Joker's a vampire. Why need logic when we can just do things?
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/6/2018, 11:31 AM
@Origame - exactly. Have fun. Enjoy yourself.
Origame
Origame - 6/6/2018, 11:41 AM
@Ditchedonearth - Then why even have a plot at that point?
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/6/2018, 3:30 PM
@Origame - who cares if you're enjoying yourself?
Origame
Origame - 6/6/2018, 3:34 PM
@Ditchedonearth - Then, again, why bother having a plot?
Ditchedonearth
Ditchedonearth - 6/6/2018, 5:36 PM
@Origame - you're a goof
Origame
Origame - 6/6/2018, 5:47 PM
