With Idris Elba officially throwing his name in the ring as a candidate for the role of Luke Cage, are you, the fans all for the CBM favorite taking on the role or would your prefer someone else?

Michael Jai White, Isaiah Mustafa, Terry Crews, Tyrese Gibson. These are all actors who have either expressed interest in playing the role of Luke Cage or are just fan-boy favorites. One thing that i think is certain with all this talk of Luke Cage is that there will be one in the near future. Personally, i think the role might go to Idris Elba because out of all the actors listed, he is the only one, at press time, who has a multi-picture deal with Marvel. But then again, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has met with Marvel but wouldn't say specifically if it was about a Luke Cage movie. Another contender is unknown actor Erik Thomas Wilson who made his bid for the role with a self-made trailer which i have embedded below. With all these names floating around, who would you like to see in a live-action Luke Cage movie? Are there other actors out there who you think might be more suitable for the role?

My vote goes to Michael Jai White, not only he physically fits the roll, the dude is a legitimate baddass, he holds black belts to seven different martial arts forms...he is also a pretty decent actor, he is no Denzel but he can still hold is own.

You know, I never thought of The Rock. With our Marvel is going with every one of their movies having some comedy in it, he does have the charisma to pull it off. And he's f'n ripped.

Obviously NUCK was trying to be funny and failed miserably...i dont thik he was being specifically racist but it turned out that way...so he is a dick for doing so.
Now the first comment by NATHANDRAKE...that was funny! Wasnt offensive in any manner.

NUCKS gene pool is obviously missing a few chromosomes and i bet if we go to his trailer in hills we'll find out the origin of when White co-joined with Trash..

P.S I see Terry Crews doing the Cage gig..i know he's a bit old but he's an old time slugger who could do the part justice. He's got all the attributes and the Mofo even looks like Cage yo!! IRONFIST i dont know what you mean about him not being able to hold lead..you cant judge something you havent seen...everything i have seen him in whether a bit part or otherwise...he has smashed it!!..yeah they've mostly been comedic parts but i think marvel should give the brother a chance! He got my vote..

The fact Marvel is considering movies starring not one, but three black superheroes(If you count Blade) says a lot... DC wouldn't do this if you held a gun to their racist head (Not that they have three black heroes who can carry a movie)


Crews is my choice. Why?
He has the comedic chops to say things like Motherlvin sweet Christmas! He's older and harder looking and for a character out of prison you need that. A young Cage would come off as a Punk kid, so an older Cage is needed.

I am an MMA fan and while Rampage is cool and all...he is not the right guy for cage. Besides after Jon Jones destroys him in September he may not look too good.
