At the Television Critics Association press tour for Marvel's new Runaways series, head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb spoke about how this new show fits into the larger cinematic universe.

Loeb said "Runaways lives in the same world" as all the other Marvel properties, from the movies to the Netflix shows. "How it's connected and where it's connected and what it's connected to remains to be seen. Right now what we're trying to do is tell the great story that Josh [Schwartz, Chuck and The O.C.] and Stephanie [Savage, The O.C.] have grafted that's based an award-winning series by Brian K. Vaughan, who's also on board. It has an amazing cast and that's where it fits in."

He also touched briefly on the shows appeal to young adults. "I think the show much more lives in a world where if you're a teenager -- and everything's connected by social media and everything's connected in a certain way -- would you be following Iron Man or would you be following someone who was more your age? So the fact that they found each other and are going through this mystery together, it becomes the moment that they're concerned about and not what Captain America is doing on a Friday."

Runaways will premier November 21st on Hulu.

Holy shit! Am I first?! AM I FIRSt???....for the first time I AM FIRST! Great...good shit good shit!

Ok ok ok.....ummm so I wanna thank my mom and all the comics and nerds in the world and marvel studios - [frick] I wasn't prepared for this!....ummm gotta say something serious....SHIT!? I'm drawing a blank!

Oh I know! Is it just me or does it seem like jeph Loeb is diluting the value and unique-ness of marvel in general?! IM ALL FOR THIS SHOWS AND IM THE BIGGEST RUNNY AWAYS FAN but seriously after watching iron fist and seeing the trailer of INHUMANS (and nobody in the world is a bigger fan of black bolt than yours truly) it just seems like he's sending everything to shit just so he can cut a check! It's like he's lost his way after daredevil season one! Maybe it's just me?! Idk! I love all the Netflix shows except for ironfist! Love the character but huge missed opportunity!

The big question is tho.... Is this show in the MCU?

Damn it! In my excitement and haste, I rushed it and typed everything poorly but I trust my fellow nerds and comic book readers and purist understood what I was trying to say?! Shit....I hope you guys and gals did?! Damn it!!!!.... I ruined my first ever FIRST! Omg you only get one first of a first ever and i completely blotched it! Uuuhhhh I'm gonna soo go shoot myself now lmfao

@pepe - naturally figured anything in-house with marvel is all one universe and is woven together! That's a given! The only things separate are video games and the amazing comics

Plus if you really think about it in another way - it's sad when agents of shield last season went harder and more nerd and fan faithful than anything ironfist tried to do! GOD DAMN! Burn.....lol

Seriously AOS actually went balls to the walls insane good to great the whole season....at least in my opinion, now only if they had started that way?! I think they would've had a fan base that would've rivaled the walking dead! I know that sounds like bullshit but it's my opinion!

Runaways does look pretty decent and better than inhumans (that isn't saying a lot)but I think someone needs to get ahold of jeph loeb cuz he's just green lights everything and puts anyone in charge so he can compete with Kevin fringe abd all he's doing is [frick]ing up my marvel universe! I'm really starting to dislike the guy! Hopefully punisher puts shit back on track! Kevin feige needs to bitch slap jeph loeb and remind him to stay in his lane and stop trying to be his MAIN HOE! Seriously I don't want loeb near my blade or my ghost rider or my moon knight or my silver surfer! Yeah I got a little head of myself!

I'm already worried about my new warriors! [frick]

Like i said in the Inhumans thread (i guess?) Loeb needs to shut the f*ck up.
It wasn't Feige, it was Loeb, the tv division, who stared this "It's all connected" bullshit.
And srlsy, what's the point? Are you guys actually going to do something about it or what?

Runaways in particular, could be a stand alone tv show, don't really need them do mention the guy with the hammer or the big green guy, sick and tired of that UGH!

@Doomsday8888 - you do make a very valid argument! More of good point to anybody being corrected! I personally don't mind it all being connected because it's like that in the comics but they don't need to reference them all the time; TRUE!

I just really feel like the ppl jeph hires to over see these series are starting to not follow or give a [frick] about the source material! For example ironfist, inhumans! Certain parts of jesssica jones I was so against - KILLING THE PURPLE MAN, and not letting him mutate into being...idk, actually [frick]ing purple! Pissed me off!

Luke cage killing of cottonmouth! Bad mistake, even though the show runner on there was amazing! Idk how cloak n dagger is gonna turn out but it dose look really amazing from the trailers! I just think loeb churning out the shows like there printing a empty macvhine or toy item looses its novelty!

I want them all but not at the cost of quality!

If you're on TV (ABC, Hulu, Netflix, Freeform) you ain't got jack shit to do with Feige's MCU.

Yeah right. Its in the MCU, but will never be referenced as such. The shows will talk about it. But the movies which are legit MCU will never mention it.
